  1. Illustrator can't fit my design

hint: try 10% instead of 25%. Just move the decimal & every measurement you enter, or every measurement you read takes absolutely no time to calculate, only the nano second to remember that you are scaling at all. There Foz... hope I gave back the right words
  2. a lill help on illustrator cs2

If I understand correctly, the two main tips that I think might help is to mask a larger graphic to only show within the perimeter of the vehicle outline (minus front windows and some door handles etc) ...and to give the graphic some transparency to allow a little of the vehicle detail or 3D...

let me guess... your "sales rep" is actually Roland's "sales rep" ...and not really your anything, just someone willing to take your money. Does this "rep" mention any other brands to you? There are other brands you might want to consider before you make a decision.
  6. RIP and print from flexi not working... HELP

Flexi works perfectly... every day... for 2 years... I never need SAI tech support, & never need onyx... People's stuff not working is the stuffs fault sometimes. It's the peoples fault sometimes too.
  7. RIP and print from flexi not working... HELP

give us a paragraph or two of EVERYTHING you ARE doing.. everything you KNOW, everything you THINK... and where you are most unsure of yourself... that will make it a lot easier to help you then giving you a paragraph of EVERYTHING you should already know, which I don't have time to do right...
  8. Newbie....Hey All!

    Aloha!
  9. Really NEW here!! Hi everyone :) Advise??

from Fred, our fearless leader. He has a link at the bottom of the page with all the other sponsors. Express Clipart has a search feature to find what you need... then you can buy one image at a time, as needed, usually for around $3 (I bought 2 this past month... very convenient) You can...

  11. Really NEW here!! Hi everyone :) Advise??

no offense, it's not about how nice people treat you, it's about the fact that you, starting to toy with some equipment and materials is considered a hobby. Trying to sell your skills of toying around with your hobby is detrimental to the trade. Yes we all started somewhere, but for...
  12. Am I Dreaming, or can this be done

probably not dreaming... but not explaining yourself very well either... nothing I read in your post sounds hard enough to require a post asking about it, so I must be missing something. How about investing in a paragraph of info identifying the scope of the job, the purpose of the various...
  13. Poked in the eye again by Gerber

My sentiments exactly! I also agree with Marlene... ...but I see jtrube's point too. I don't think they are obligated to dole out free dongles, but I think they should offer a reasonably priced swap for your old one, without trying to force an upgrade. (although it really is worth the...
  14. Advise Please Roland vs Mimaki

...and, just like with a 6 color lc/lm set-up, the trade off is all your cmyk work printing twice as slow... so again, if the lc/lm is in demand every day for fine art reproduction or some such requirements... than that's one thing... but if you have white, and/or 6 color set-ups just for...
  15. Advise Please Roland vs Mimaki

and because of full solvent inks
  16. Advise Please Roland vs Mimaki

...actually let me rephrase that... forget closer, cheaper, faster... What I really mean is better. You said it first, and I believed it, so if the service is really better, then that is worth a lot! I'm in Hawaii & I could have bought my Mimaki in Hawaii, but I bought mine from Advantage...
  17. Advise Please Roland vs Mimaki

I own a 63" Mimaki JV3 160SP and the 63" Mimaki cutter (CG130?) I've had them 2 years and consider them the best quality you can buy. I've always said though, that I really think all the best names in printers will do a good job. I think service after the sale is worth far far more then...
  18. printable magnetic material

I know the feeling... I just proved that in front of my employee this morning. oops
  19. Adobe Share BETA

sounds cool... and very helpful to us.
  20. printable magnetic material

you've been told the best advice that is followed by the vast majority of printer owners as seen from a dozen discussions just like this one. Almost none of us bother doing what you're trying to do... and many of us do what Chris told you to do every week for years... without any discussion...
