  1. What's it worth.. Used Flexi Pro 8.0

get wasatch then... no doubt you could recover your $1200 right here. I've seen a few copies sell for over $1500 on these boards, just this year alone... almost bought one myself. (got my current copy for $1200 as a crossgrade price offered to Casmate owners the first years Scanvec bought...
  2. Corn Dogs, love em or hate em?

well, having lost interest in this dayyyys ago, I had to wonder, who could be responsible for injecting the appearance of life into a topic seemingly so unworthy of continued attention... well, a quick look at pg 6 and I think our original poster has clearly set a record for self promotion if...
  3. Can't Delete any EPS Files . . . HELP ! ! !

I've had that issue often, mostly with .ai files though & almost entirely when the files were on the desktop. The "safe mode" suggestion took care of it everytime except once. (believe me... you don't want to know about that "once")
  4. showing print head lines

...and all that somehow explains why you would say "make sure your printing bi directional"?
  5. showing print head lines

why is that? isn't it true that even in microscopic amounts, a drop of ink travels the direction of the head as it falls to the vinyl... so in bi-directional, half your drops are misaligned to the right & half to the left (in microscopically small amounts of course)... ...if in some prints...
  6. Mimaki JV3 users...help

I almost always print banners 360x540, bi-directional, high speed and I thought the setting I used was 3 pass... but I haven't actually looked for long enough that I don't recall (I have an employee do most of the printing now) My profiles all come from Advantage Sign Supply. The banner media...

eating crow sucks... but even if it's only for a half hour... gotta give a man credit who's willing to eat a little crow now and then... I know I've had to... and If aced it too... but like I said, eating crow sucks!
  11. HELP ! ! ! . . . Computer Devices

you didn't read the thread I guess, since the original poster exchanged his laptop weeks ago. You also missed the fact that Gerber is ahead of the curve on Vista compatibility, & I was able to download the free patch & have omega running fine on Vista without even worrying about any...
  12. Servers for Dummies

I have a computer tech guy who I have on an annual contract for about $150/month. It sounds like a lot, but he is a talented guy & spends a lot of time here, even helping me with things like setting up my upgrade of Omega software, & troubleshooting all the resulting issues, spending time on...
  13. Servers for Dummies

just for comparison, my half terabit drives were $169.00 and each one holds virtually every file I've created in 10-1/2 years, plus an excessive amount of duplication & triplication based on the way I've done backups & archives over the years... so I would wonder if the desire to have off-site...
  14. Servers for Dummies

I'm sure I could get by without a server, but I'm happy with the decision to bring that extra organization into my network now, so that as things grow, it will already be in place. My Dell PowerEdge Server is running Windows Server 2003. It has 2 physical drives in it. The main drive is...
  15. Juice Drops

that is the deal I got too.. someone here posted it. The manufacturers own website offeres different deals at different times. Just bookmark it, & check back frequently.
  16. Juice Drops

maybe... ..they were some sort of ambigious celestial orbs before I got to them... ...as far as I knew it could have been the sea of tranquility... but Saudi Arabia? ...that is just as unrecognizable to me as the dark side of the moon, so I'll defer to your good eye
  17. Corn Dogs, love em or hate em?

I've never had a corndog, as far back as I can remember, nor have I desired one... but those bagel dogs look incredible. I want one NOW!! ...and it's only 8am ...looks like a good breakfast to me. For the record, I think pogos doesn't sound half as stupid as corndog ..but then, I am half...
  18. Juice Drops

I bought a bunch and finally used my first one. I eliminated 3/4 of the layers, then I put a light gold fill over the whole thing & took the transparency down to about 20%... you could never recognize this textural fill... but it added just the extra interest I had in mind, without competing & I...
  19. Graphics rookie looking for guidance for Race car graphics

I don't know anything about race car work, except what I've read on the boards for the last 5 years... but 5 years is a lot of reading & from about 100 discussions in that time... "there is no money in it" is the main thing I learned. You said it's not supposed to be your main income, & you...
  20. What laminators are you using?

my sentiments exactly.. Mimaki printer, Mimaki cutter, and GBC laminator... and I've considered the laminator to be the biggest source of unpredictability too.
