As far as tricks and techniques youtube is a great place to learn different application methods and tricks, but there is nothing like good old hands on expierence. One thing we did when we first opened last year is contacted another shop about an hour away (far enough away where you won't step...
Can somebody clue me in? When i see banding in my prints i do a feed calibration, set it where the lines tell me too and the banding is fixed. but... im about to go to +.60 and my calibrations have been trending that way. does this mean that the next time my adjustment is going to be off the...
Doing a manual clean on our xj540, noticed the sponge next to the capping stations is pretty black. We have a replacment sponge and the t shaped one that is apparently underneath the top sponge. looks like i just need to take one screw off and replace the sponges. couldn't find anything in...
We have a roland xj540 printer and a roland gx500 plotter. Kinda suprised by the lack of people using roland plotters. ours works great with one exception. Can't do a print to cut job that is much more than 10' in length without breaking it into smaller sections. Anything over 10' in length...

sorta hate the idea of buying a cheap plotter when we have a perfectly good one now, but it does make sense what you're saying. any suggestions on a decent cheap plotter for cutting magnet?
Print and cut magnets seem to be more trouble than tey are worth. after printing i bring to my plotter to cut. reads registration marks fine, but the cut is always offset about .25 inches. i assume this is becasue the material is thicker than vinyl, but shouldn't that same difference have...
Recently when printing banners they come up short. a 10' banner will print about .5-1" shorter than it should. Smaller banners still come up short but not as much. This problem doesn't seem to be happening with vinyl so i'm confused. did a feed calibration but didn't fix the problem...
Trying to figure out how most people get rid of the used backer paper from their laminators. sometimes ill reverse the motor and unwind the backer, but it seems to be a lot of unnecessary work for the laminator. Or ill cut horizontaly across the top and take 10-15 wraps off at a time which is...
