yeah high head height is the only way i can see this working i was trying to get away with using low head height and thought maybe someone had a trick or tip to help. thanks for all your input.

been buying eco sol max ink 440s from uscutter for $112 any reason to believe this ink is old or not good i havent had any problems with it yet

tried setting the heat on a lower setting and feeding out more of the media before heating. same result

sorry i should have mentioned that it is a rigid pvc film through my roland xj540

the media is wavy while in the printer how do i stop the media from being wavy

while printing on rigid pvc the media will not lay flat and head strike occurs. tried messing with media clamps and vacum power and had no luck. any other suggestions

why not mount vinyl to bare aluminum?

your static issuse may have to do with the protective film that comes on the plexi we mounted on a 2' x 9' piece of lexan and were told to take the film off and let the material breathe for 24-48 hours before mounting and also wipe down with water after the 24-48 hours. not sure if its the same...

could you be a little more specific on how to change the spot colors to process values. wont that just put me back to the same problem of getting a lower quality print bc im not using the rvw spot colors?

tried switching to full page conversion but still got the grey box. should i have tried to flatten the image before saving as an eps?

ive tried that. it fixes the grey box issue, but then i lose my spot colors which makes the print look horible. and if i flatten with the preserve spot color checkbox then it prints a white box which is worse then the grey box. this is so annoying

having trouble perserving my rvw spot colors in illy files that have effects such as drop shadows. when i print with my xj540 i get the notorius grey box around areas with effects. ive tried exporting as a tiff, but then i lose my spot colors. how can i save a tif file with rvw spot colors.
