How long of a run are you trying to cut?
On my FC7000 I try and keep my runs under 10 feet to keep the chance of skew down.. and make sure you're sequencing your plots to keep the material travel to a minimum.
Make sure your grit rollers are clean.. and if it has the adjustable tension rollers...
If it's only one.. think of the time it would take to weed vs overthinking it.
That being said, print it on clear and contour cut.. I'd do it on an Edge because it can prime white.. as long as it's not larger than 11.8 on the smallest side..
pull the cover off the pen block.. make sure there is no play between the carriage and track, make sure there is no play in the pen block.. make sure it's all screwed together and not coming undone..
just things to look at.. never had that problem.
Pulling pdfs in to illy without the text being outlines will cause it to reset the type..
And if it's a PDF saved from another program, the text will end up being broken up in to individual characters a lot of the times.
