  2. Ugly as Homemade Sin...

If you look at the comments on its Dafont page people are practically wetting themselves over how "awesum" they think it is. Someone even sez they want it for a tattoo. hahaha
  3. Farmville

My daughter does Farmville continually. I think the lettering in the logo is either a SignFont or SignDNA but that's as close as I looked. Not into that crap myself. Love....Jill

Charlie it was pickup with a cap lettered within an inch of its life. At least it wasn't Brush Script. :)

  8. Beverage of choice?

Depends on with whom I am drinking it, and where I am. 8 O'Clock coffee with a good splash of fat-free half & half (not Cremora) water (not too cold) margaritas made with good tequila and some Cointreau floated on top Love....Jill

  10. Logo Critique

The kerning is off. Looks like the font (is it the same font on both lines?) is squished or stretched. I would use a script for the name and all caps something else for the dance studio part. Love.....Jill

  14. Gorilla Glue Guilding

What? You don't like shiny Cheetos? (I agree, it does look like that) After my last experiment with it I have decided it's not worth it.
  15. Will this work-salvaging old material?

Tell him he will have as much in cost after paying for your labor and materials to prep the old piece as he would if he ordered a new sign. That's how I avoid this problem when I can. Love....Jill
  16. Gorilla Glue Guilding

Just make sure to remove the masking ASAP. I often cut an outline on the mask letters but don't weed it off. I remove it quickly after filling the mask so I don't get a real sharp lip. By the time that's removed, it's usually time to remove the whole thing! Wait till you see how that stuff...
  17. Honest opinion please

Next time try flipping the blank 180° and then you could put the pictorial in the bottom curve. Your lettering is still very close to the bottom edge. And the street name looks as if the text has been squeezed somewhat. It doesn't have much flow, looks like three separate things stuck onto a...
  18. Gorilla Glue Guilding

Hi Mike. Be careful because that stuff expands FAST. Faster still if you add water. Not sure how well it will dry on glass. Last year I got some dollar store mirrors for an auction project. The GG never dried properly on them and I had to pitch every one. When I have done GG gilding for...
  19. Some more handmade signs by Fatboy. Please give crit.

While I do like your sign blanks, I have been taught to make the shape of the sign fit the layout, not the other way around. I would seriously consider losing the decoupage elements and trying to find suitable clipart to cut. I would also recommend not running all the lettering to the edges of...
  20. 1-shot Cleaning Brushes

Adrian I rarely use quills anymore, I am hooked on these. Also the Alan Johnson signature brushes and Swirly-Qs. On the Mack site there are instructions for cleaning pinstriping brushes: http://www.mackbrush.com/brushcare2.htm I do love a well-broken-in red handled #3 Mack. And whoever said...
