  1. My website is now more or less funtional. What do you think?

It loaded real well for me. I can't tell you anything technical, but it did look nice and clean. The only thing that bugs me is the title, I feel it needs more of a black outline on the lettering, or the lettering needs to be placed on a darker background, to show up more. But I know nothing...
  2. identify this Snowflake

I think I caught that on my tongue February 7th 1972 during recess. As I recall it tasted like DDT. Love....Jill
  3. Restaurant Logo Assignment

Some of these are making me belly laugh, and it hurts almost as much as sneezing. I really love Neato's clever fork treatment but then again these are all way better than any ideas I've had. On this one, Fred hired me and my friend Bill to set up our scaffolds and paint his building. This is...

  6. Restaurant Logo Assignment

Rick I officially hate you. hahaha That last one is even better than the first ones. Gino, yours makes my crotch burn. Gnatt and Tiki I like those too! Since I have nothing better to do than munch Percocet I worked on something this morning but it totally sucks. Here's a pic of Fred's new...
  7. Arching A Logo

Aha! Thanks for posting the pix. I guess the bottom of a windshield would not be that much different than the top. Glad this is just for a show! PS I hate working with chrome.
  8. Restaurant Logo Assignment

Logo will need to be used on everything from the main sign, to the menu, printed on glassware, t-shirts for sale, newspaper ads bizcards you name it. Client is a middle-aged man and his wife who have decided to retire and open up a little fondue place in the heart of their small town, in a...
  9. After almost seven years, calling it quits

Well, whatever ends up happening, I hope it all works out for the best. I know it's schmaltzy but my crusty old granny used to say that whenever a door closes, a window opens. Love....Jill

  13. pricing..

Any time I apply vynull to a posterboard type material I have to varnish the material first (I use 1-Shot UV Clear spray) or else the transfer tape will tear the paper when you take it off. You would be better off using coroplast, as these are only temporary signs. I would outsource them to a...
  14. Thoughts on this design???

Top number, no blue, it totally clashes and kills the contrast. Big black outline. Thanks for trying clarendon, but it is just not manly enough. :)
  15. race car designs

#1 Eliminate Brush Script from your fonts. #2 learn to make a true drop shadow with angled edges rather than points, it would look so much nicer. #3 Top layout would look better with black checks. #4 Try to use a natural shade on your shadow as well (top layout) would the sun cast a light...
  16. The scents of freshness...

For some reason this reminds me of those annoying Charmin commercials with the cutesy pastel-colored bears, who make pooping a friendly fun family activity. I miss Mr. Whipple, God rest his soul. He kept the idea of TP aloof and untouchable. Love....Jill
  17. HDU and Gold Hearing clinic sign

Looks really clean. Old Jordo always had a gilder's knife with him. If your pinky knife works for you, stay with it. And save me a cold one. Love....Jill
  18. Thoughts on this design???

The 7 looks constipated. Maybe try a really beefy Clarendon to give it some curves. That is a 7, right? Or is it a 1? Love....Jill
  19. Hello from Derby,UK!

Another PA welcome. Any relation to Jiminy? Love...Jill
  20. Thoughts on this layout

Moody's initial suggestion would really be good as a sandblasted sign. His really has the right balance, to me. I am not a fan of italics, hardly ever use them. And I am not big on swooshing up things either. Love...Jill
