do you do regular manual cleanings? Once in a while I get some small fuzz on our 540 and it looks like that. A good manual cleaning fixes it right up...

I never coat banners and run high speed on Roland printers. Like a banner is going to survive longer than 6 months outside anyway.....and if it does they need a perminant sign anyways, not a banner!!!

Was the paint on the tank new? If not those things are hard to clean, they get oxidized and stuff will not stick.

My only advise is to just save up and pay for the printer! It might take a while longer, but if you fail you will not be stuck with a printer that is worth half of what you pay for it (that is the going rate on USED printers) No one startes out to fail, but LIFE happens to us all. Only poor...
