  1. How how how??

hmmm... I saw that your signature image came down for a minute & then you put up a new one... I DL'd it again & still find it opening as index color mode in photoshop. I had to change mine to rgb color to get transparency, so maybe that is the missing step.
  2. hi all from the netherlands

    Welcome!
  3. How how how??

do you see the white box in your signature? I changed it from index color to rgb, & changed the layer from background to layer 0... then selected the white with the magic wand... deleted it & saved as .gif with transparency checked. I'm tired, catch you later

  6. How how how??

while you're exploring .gif files... why not make a transparent .gif for the image in your signature & lose that ugly white box? Like my avatar, just delete the white from a .psd file & save as a .gif & be sure "preserve transparency is checked... it will look way nicer! (I'll check back in...

pro... I can't help you with your question, but besides complimenting you for a cool animation & admitting that it is far more advanced then any I have done... could I be so presumptious to offer a design suggestion anyway? The twinkling of the highlights gave me an idea that I think would be...

if you cant find the value in making a tool profitable for you to use, like it is for sooooo many others... ...then I guess it boils down to a simple fact. The tool is overpriced! ...not!
  10. Looking for...a better Substrate cutter

I love my safety speedcut panel saw. I have the best dust collection system they offer... but don't fool yourself into believing it "cleans up after itself" ...it makes less mess... but you will still want it in an area that can get dusty. Awesome tool... the money spent is long forgotten... but...
  11. Illustrator mystery...

I always keep mine on... but I "hide" the artboard & page tiling quite often... and sometimes in a rush, I guess I hit "hide bounding box" by mistake, so I go back & hide what I need hidden... but forget to unhide the bounding box. Then I get a week like this last one where I'm so scattered, I...
  12. Illustrator mystery...

  13. Illustrator mystery...

I've been using this software for about 15 years... but I stick with what I know & don't really venture too far into learning new stuff... then once in a while some really basic little thing has me stumped. This past week, I've been encountering this recurring issue that really inconveniences...
  14. Serial port on laptop HELP!!!!!

some of those usb port to serial port adapters are for PDA's, but not good for much else. Look for a higher quality one. I think "high speed" is the distinction I recall from similar discussions where a solution has been mentioned in the past.

  16. Need a steel building eps

I redrew this from a steel building catalogue my client had once. We used it on magnets & project signs (with his name over the top of it)
  17. Extreme Makeover Design Contest

ok... here is a submission of a clients sign. I just did a banner for these folks & they were very pleased with the service, & now they want a quote on refurbishing this sign. I think dismantling & repainting each letter & re-installing it is going to be pretty expensive, so I will probably...

  19. Extreme Makeover Design Contest

not much to work with there Chris... but not hard to improve it either. Can we nominate other members signs :help: I guess it could be demoralizing to have our own sign win the signs101 makeover contest... but the prize is still a good thing. I think it would be best if the victim, I...
