If your old files won't work, I would assume that the path it's looking for isn't called "CutContour". When I reinstalled my RIP once, I had to go in and change it to CutContour again.

Plexi? That'll be faded like nobody's business would be my guess. We did some that had that on the inside like that, and they were HORRIBLE to remove because they painted over the top of it. We had gallons and gallons of lacquer thinner poured on this thing, and hours and hours of work...

I let them do it unless it's going on a fence or something like that where it's smaller and it has multiple movable mounting points.

I have no trouble cutting it on my Mimaki. I just put it on the slowest setting it can go, and let it take it's sweet time.

They do seem to take forever on the shipping end of stuff, but we ordered table covers from them, and they looked good. No product complaints, like I said, just SLOW shipping.

I just cut regular Oracal 293 Lam that I have here. I've made iPhone templates, but for my blackberry, I just lay it down, and cut w/ my olfa around the edge of it. When I peel it off later, it doesn't leave any residue, and all the scratches are on the surface, the screen is perfect.
