I like your idea for the Name. Clean and legible. I think I may do something like that if I can convince him on it. He likes to have everything arched over for his name. All 5 of their businesses have their name arched. I was just going with what I already knew he would like.
Are you...
I had a guy bring in 7 real estate signs for a company I do all the signs for. They wanted them refaced for his landscaping business. He said the real estate company was going out of business and was selling them off. I had him start filling out the paperwork while I called up the real estate...
Well the heater is still down. The blower motor is down along with some other things. Think that is what it was called. Wont have the part until Thursday. Good news it is suppose to warm up. Bad news its about $800 to fix and replace.
I meant to add this one up earlier. It reads better but still not done yet.
Havent had a chance to make any changes yet. Had to shut down for a while when the heater guys showed up.
gg the pack string has to face left. Not sure why, but that is what I was told. Some kind of...
I was thinking the same thing but spell check says otherwise as well as the client. He says it is two words. I have no idea.
No website as of yet. He said next year there would be a website.
Let me know what you think.
Only things I was told is that they want a pack string, sunset, rugged look for the logoish part and a leatherish type background. Since I am waiting for the heater guys, I thought I would start on it.
Usually this shop and I help each other out. I have lost clients to him and him to me. I never told them what job it was for, he guessed it.
As it turns out. The sign shop is owned to the future Ex Son-in-la to the building owner. There is the falling out. If I would have known that in...
Thanks. I called the local guy I usually use for around here and he said it was only 60" but didnt have any on hand. I found a place in Vegas that will have them here tomorrow.
I guess bad blood between the owner and the sign shop. Usually they are easy to work with and have done things for...
I dont mind the cold as long as there is no wind. That is the killer. I have been up in PA and NY when the highs is only 5 or 6 and can go out with shorts t shirt and sandals and be good for 15 -20 mins before the cold gets to me. Out here with the wind (we have about 350 windy days a year)...
Last night was our coldest night so far. Got down to 16 degrees. Before you say that isnt cold, remember, I live in the desert. At 5 this morning it was 18 with a windchill of 5. What makes it worse is my heater in the shop is not working for some reason. Right now the shop is 52. Way to...
I took it to a local place here where I usually get my lights from but he said it was an odd size. Cant read any of the numbers on it either.
I am wondering if it is to old to really be replacing just the lights.
After replacing a sign face yesterday, I was asked if I could replace the florescent tubes in the side that I just did. I took the sign out to measure the tube assuming it would be 4' but the tube in there measures 61". Have not seen one of this size before. I have had 18" 2' 3' 4' 8' before...
I called Dell this morning and they said a service tech would call me within the next couple of days. About an hour later, Mike the service tech in the area gives me a call saying he is up in the area and had a cancellation and wanted to know if he could stop by and look at the laptop. He...
I had a stand up desk when I was in a higher production job as well. For what I was doing at the time, I liked it. My main computer is at a sit down desk but the computer we do our cutting on is about standing level. Granted I am only 5'-6" so its not that high to most people. I also have a...
The piece of glass that we did the sign on was 5' x 12'. with 1" glass being approximately 13lbs/sf, so the piece weighed about 780lbs. This may have been the reason for our problem. This is the kind of suction cups we used as well. Have moved thousands of lbs of glass with them but only had...
