RandyA, I tried a known working standard PCI network card. Doesn't work. The printer doesn't see it. If this is the case do you think something happened to the main board?
Okay, I've tried 4 different known working network cards. They all show up and communicate with the router but the printer doesn't see them. The original network card wouldn't communicate with the router but the printer sees it. What gives?
Thanks randya!
APC makes a network surge arrestor. Might not be a bad investment. The really sad part is the battery backup I have this printer on has a built in network surge suppressor. I didn't know it was there until after the lightning strike though.
I don't think Mutoh was hiding...
$1275 for a network card. I was expecting $300, not $1275.
This is in the user manual:
"IEEE 1284 compatible / Network, High Speed
Interface (standard high-speed interface card – 4 Mb/s)."
Can I take it at it's word and use a standard network card?
Anyone know what direction I need to head in to get a replacement network card for a Mutoh Falcon II 64. Can I use 'any ole PCI network card'? I've searched for a card but came up empty handed.
I have the same problem with one of my ink slots. It seems to be getting worse. I don't know of a fix other than power cycle the printer and remove and reinsert the cartridge, over and over, and over, and over, and over. This didn't start happening to me until here recently.
Only from the fair. I hold off all year and only get mine from the county fair. Something about the atmosphere I guess.
Sometimes I break down and get them from Cook Out. I never eat the store bought kind. They just aren't as good.
Thanks for the suggestions and input. I'm thinking about going with Triangle inks. I feel they are a reputable company and have heard nothing but good things about them.
Graphics2u, I'll give you a call later today. I'm only getting the error in slot 3. I've done the same as you, replaced the...
I'm thinking about downgrading my firmware from 3.01 to 2.11.
Reasons:
1) Apparently production manager doesn't support i2 wave technology which I think is the main benefit to the latest firmware.
2) I'm now getting the infamous 'ink not original' message. Turning off the chip readers...
