  1. usb - usb 2 cable....how long can I go?

Do you have good success with this setup? I was under the impression you should go past 16' with USB. I know cable are available but I thought data integrity would degrade.
  2. bubbles form on laminate film days later

Do you have to keep the number of people even or their combined weight? As for outgassing, I personally think it is a way out for the manufacturers. They know we are in a rush and can't always wait 24 hrs to print, laminate and get the job out the door. I print with Eco ink so maybe that's why...

  4. bevel edges in Flexi.?

You will need to tell Flexi where to look for the Adobe plugins. I believe it's in the file preference section. You have to convert the text to a bitmap so be sure it is correct. It's not easy to fix. When you convert the image be sure to leave a cushion area around the text or it's difficult...

  6. Mutoh Printing on 24pt carolina stock

I tried my catchall 'standard' profile and had great success so I didn't change anything. I think it is an Arlon profile for Flexi. Using a Falcon II Outdoor.

  9. Mutoh Printing on 24pt carolina stock

Sihl TriSolv. i just started printing on some and have had good results. They are for one of my graphic design customers and I have no problem delivering them. TriSolv 200 I believe. Your distributor should have a sample pack for you to choose the weight you want..

  11. Digital printer that also cuts?

I was seriously heading down the all in one option also before I bought the two separate machines. I'm glad I didn't go that route. I've had to print, laminate and cut 1000's of decals and having the ability to print, take out to cut and start another print job has paid off. Now for a shameless...
  12. Is there a 4 color 62" Falcon

I've been running a 48" Falcon Outdoor for a few years using the CMYK (not CMYKLcLm) option in SAI Production Manager. I replaced the Lc & Lm cartridge with a cleaning cartridge and it prints fine. You have to swap the chrome sticker for it to recognize the cleaning cart as a color cart. Another...

  14. Employee price error...What would you do?

Not only would I verbally tell my client, I'd show the correction on the invoice. Show the correct price for each line item and than show a discount for improper quote (or however you want to word it) that way you and your customer have documentation. I think everyone covered what to do with the...
  15. translucent vinyl question

Yes the joint would be visible. Your customer may not care but I'd try to do it in one piece if at all possible. What color will the lettering be? Darker than the yellow? Trap the yellow slightly to ease registration. If it's lighter than the yellow I'd revisit the chosen colors.
  16. Any help appreciated.

An Outdoor Falcon. Someone in Mt. Pleasant asked to see it running. Just thought it might be you.

  18. Ignorant cheap people...this is driving me nuts!!!

Mosh, Maybe that's why I've been drinking more... I'm not to fired up about it. I know my work is good and I can charge appropriately for it. I was just reminding folks it goes all the way around. I have found myself not questioning prices for almost anything, doesn't mean I agree with them...

  20. Any help appreciated.

Apparently they aren't too hard to change if you are good with a soldering iron. Notice I said iron, not soldering gun, there is a difference. You could always pull the board (mark where all your cable go) and take it to a tv or radio repair shop. Hey are you the one looking at mine on eBay?
