  1. Ignorant cheap people...this is driving me nuts!!!

All I ask is keep this in mind when you are dealing with a wholesaler. We have the same problem but it's from sign shops... How the heck did printed banners get to 1.50/sf? The cheap guys that don't give a crap about quality or customer service. Just food for thought.
  2. Digital printer that also cuts?

Why specifically are you looking for a print and cut machine? I have found in the past, if I had one do it all machine it would bottle neck my shop. You having the additional cutter would help remedy this a little. If print speed is an issue, compare real world print speeds for the combo...
  3. Mutoh Flacon

So he's not really stuck with it, there is always someone that will take it off his hands... Are you willing and comfortable with working on it (or paying someone to)? Are you wanting to use or sell it? I know you want to get paid somehow so this might be your only option. Never let one sit...
  4. Customer wanted templates for Re-Wrap

So you never questioned why you were always paid with cash and they didn't care to have a receipt??? :Big Laugh
  5. Easiest way to make these?

I'll have to mess around with this. I've always let the printer put down the reg marks.
  6. Easiest way to make these?

The colored vinyl will be reflective if you print. Solvent inks are translucent thus letting the reflective material do it's job. Kinda the same principal as road signs using 3M Electro Cut film or screen printed.
  7. Easiest way to make these?

If done properly you will be REDUCING production cost and time. Take white printable reflective material and print the green on it, sub it out if you have to, you will still save money. If properly set up you can contour cut the outer circle. Laminating is to protect the print not the reflective...
  8. Outdoor valuejet cartridges

It's easier to find the VJ cartridges. Because the sticker will get worn out, I printed my own. Since the Falcon won't recognize chrome vinyl, print on laminate then mount to chrome. Set it all up with a contour cut and you're goo to go. Suppose you could also cut it out of black and put on chrome.
  9. Looking for (40) Printed Spare Tire Covers

Hate to point out the obvious but if they are for your employees, I'd print it on vinyl. You can monitor them and replace if needed. I'd install them while on the vehicle so the tire cover is stretched in it's normal position. If not for Employees how did you get someone to run around with your...
  10. printer deal

I might be able to use it. PM me their contact info or what they want for it. In the mean time I might have a Outdoor Falcon 46" for sale. I've got one person looking at it but he doesn't have a rip. If he changes his mind it'll be available. I know for a fact it works with FlexiPro. Check the...
  11. Easiest way to make these?

Does your customer specifically not want the white reflective? If they don't care or you can upsell them on the benefit for making both colors reflective you could print, laminate and contour cut them, or have them done somewhere. Would make it a lot easier and you would be using less material...
  12. FutureRIP & Prismjet Extra

Well in the meantime there are wholesalers out there to help you out. The Merchant Member section has a few... Kind of hard to see in the image. Is it just the black with the issues? How long have you had the printer? Any help from the person you bought it from?
  13. 65" Enduralam dropping?

Can't be worse than my POS. Applicator 4R from Australia.
  14. FutureRIP & Prismjet Extra

36C for both heaters. I know Sign Warehouse suggested 50C for both but I think that is way too hot. I'm not familiar with FutureRip. Does it have ink override/limits you can adjust? Are you using Mutoh brand ink? I went with 11/10 for a while and had to further adjust my ink limits.
  15. Too many sign shops!!

This is the reason I went wholesale. I opened up the phone book and noticed I had 40+ competitors within 15 miles. Not all of them had bucket trucks and printing capability. They would call me to do the service work and printing then a light bulb went off in my head. Sure hope it was the right...
  16. FutureRIP & Prismjet Extra

Have you tried setting it up using a parallel cable to rule out the SEH box? However, as I type this I'm wondering how you sent the Mutoh test job? Through the network SEH box? Is so, that should rule out the box. I've always used Production Manager that came with Flexi for my rip. Works great...

    Welcome From NC!
  18. Where to buy cleaning stuff for printers?

I haven't checked pricing by the bottle lately. Haven't needed to. As stated earlier I generally forget to order more and use what I have. Granted it's not the best solution for the problem but it'll work in a pinch. Just trying to help the guy out. Since we are getting technical, I wonder, is...
  19. Where to buy cleaning stuff for printers?

Denatured alcohol can be purchased by the gallon at any home improvement store. As for actual cleaning solution for my printers, I usually buy a cleaning cart and crack it open, cut the corner of the bag off and empty it into a CLEAN container. I generally find myself running out of cleaning...
  20. Mutoh setup help

Stealth Ryder is correct. I bought my first printer from SW. They were more than helpful with tech support. Besides, if it is still the same way as when I bought mine, you paid for at least 90 days of tech support when you bought the printer package.
