  2. Want to promot. Made an add

I know how this is going to sound but I'll say it anyway... the ad is worthless. You bought a new wide format printer...great. Your customers will barely know what that is if they have any clue at all. "The possibilities are endless" tells them nothing. The picture of the print hanging...

  5. Preventing customer proof theft

WOW! That's twice I've agreed with Bob on something in the last month. Strange things are happening! I've had it happen three times in 15 years, once we got paid by the customer, once we got paid by the shop that took the artwork. I've had it happen exactly ZERO times since I started...

  8. Help need advise, Please.

Okay...since you really want to spend the money.... The Mutoh printers are good and from what I've seen are fairly reliable. The only suggestion I'd have is to get a plotter that's larger than the widest print capability of your printer. No point in handicapping yourself for the little price...

Way to go CJ! Two posts and you've already identified yourself as just another racecar driver with a bad attitude.! You The Man! Dude, Fast Fred up there just gave you, by far, the best advice you'll probably ever get. Running out and buying a bunch of equipment that just think you need is a...
  10. Can anyone tell me where this dancing hotdog is from?

I've seen it before but can't tell you where it's from. I can tell you that if you Google "dancing hot dog" it's the first one that pops up. Wonder how much the other shop got for designing that?
  11. Changing DPI from 72DPI to 150DPI - How???

You're in FlexiSign. Go to File > Export > then save it as a jpeg. Make sure you have the "suppress option" box at the bottom deselected. When you save it will pull up a box so you can set your DPI as high as 1200.
  12. desperate need of a yellow valuejet cartridge

Add in that Indiana and Florida are not exactly close together and it's more entertaining!
  13. Preventing customer proof theft

Not that the typical customer could or would do it but cracking a secure PDF is not difficult at all.

  15. Cutting end caps for alumacore

Wouldn't that just crush the edge trim? We bought one of these years ago and it's done a beautiful job ever since. It's a mini chop saw. We've cut several cases of edge trim, way too much aluminum picture frame molding, and a lot of conduit and it's still on the original blade. For $28 it's...
  16. A good deal?

What?! $21K for something to halfway do the job or $25 for something he'll be completely satisfied with for years? Tell the guy to sub the stuff out for a couple more months and save the extra $4000. Is this even a real situation?

  20. What best describes your location?

2500 sq. ft. building on the main road heading into the downtown business district. It's an old convenience store building and as soon as we put a roll up door in the side it will be the perfect location for us.
