MOVIE IN THE PARK is Komika Poster...no idea on the other http://www.dafont.com/font.php?file=komika_poster&page=1&nb_ppp_old=10&text=MOVIE+PARK&nb_ppp=10&psize=l&classt=alpha Mind showing the rest of the thing you're working from? Look's pretty slick.
  4. Anyone Ever Seen A Cleaner Version Of This?

What the hell kind of parallel universe did I step into? I'm suggesting painting something and OP is setting it up to cut in vinyl?
  5. Anyone Ever Seen A Cleaner Version Of This?

I know it's off topic but why would you paint mask that, anyway? You can project it, trace it, clean up the artwork on the fly, and paint it in less time, without the cost and headache of dealing with an 8' x 30' chunk of paint mask. Damn, I sound like OP.

  9. New Record!

Want to hear the "that's the stupidest answer I've ever heard" answer? A couple of years ago we suddenly started having the same problem on a computer that had been successfully running Flexisign for over a year. Tech support couldn't figure it out, and a repair guy just told us to buy a new...
  10. using more than 1 plotter?

I would think that if you stack them the vinyl coming out of the higher plotters will interfere with the vinyl coming out of the lower ones. I also think it's gonna get really old, really quick muscling full rolls of vinyl 5' in the air. Plus, you know that while you're trying to load vinyl in...
  11. Used Roland

If it's a ColorCamm tell him you'll haul it off for him if he'll buy your gas. Other than that it's not worth going after.
  12. New owner takes over existing business

There are so many variables to consider first you're really going to be stepping out on a limb if you're not careful, the first is consider who had that appraisal done and what did they know about pricing a sign shop. You can't price a creative business the same way you value a retail store...
  13. Wrap Industry… Your Thoughts?

Yep, W & W Contractors...because somebody put "Contractors" on about 2" off center and crooked. Irrevelant to my area...there are NO well designed vehicle wraps. Just piles of crap stuck on vans for as low as $2000. There have actually been times I've stood in a parking lot staring at a...
  14. Pistol Pete

They probably would but somehow people seem to "forget" to read the part explaining you've got to pay an annual fee for usage and there are usage guidelines. http://osu.okstate.edu/osu_id/crafters I love the idea of a small, once a year fee for small time users, like most sign shops would be...
  15. Parking Stickers

The problem with the reverse print on clear is that the decals virtually disappear behind tinted windows. We've always done them for exterior application, and auto-serialized in Flexi...or just subbed them to Stouse and let them take care of it.
  16. Small Shops - How many active jobs do you have and what is your lead time?

64 currently, usually around 40 this tme of year, had a high of 104, low of 14 this year. but it's a misleading number. 1 job that's $5000 is a whole lot better than 20 jobs that are $50. vinyl work goes out in 1-5 days, digital 4-7, electrical 2 weeks.
  17. How do you conduct business?

Ahhh...Imagine the possibilities! We do most of our stuff over the phone. Walk in work is all done at the counter. When customers stop by to see the layouts that never showed up in their email (usually because I haven't gotten around to sending them) they get to wade through the half done...
  18. Files on my Cd-RW drive that will not delete!

You've already got a solution by... We use MoveOnBoot for that and a lot of other things. It deletes the files from the directory before Windows even opens. http://www.softwarepatch.com/software/moveonboot.html
  19. Peachtree or Quickbooks, Which do you prefer?

Six of one, half dozen of the other. Do yourself a favor and ask your accountants which one they prefer. My accounting firm actually sent a guy by to configure Peachtree for me to match up with what they wanted. Submitting records at the end of the month, quarter, and year has been virtually...
  20. Local place to buy Eye-One Display?
