  1. Design Help For Beginner

You got the technical part figured out, now try a tweak to the design. Since you're from England, the wording may be different, and over here like Gino said we generally threaten not thank.....but here's my take with your text. Try not to condense fonts to fit, and give text some "white space"
  2. Awning Replacement

Just follow hcardwell's great instructions and take some pics so we see how it worked out.

I use the same thing as Bob, we spray glued it
  6. TBT

Still have my kit too. Occasionally get to use the brushes, mostly for gold leaf. Had many great dogs, current one is too young and wacky for a shop dog.
  7. TBT

Yea, sometimes I miss the days of needing nothing more than a sign kit, a pick up truck and a good dog to make a living

Norman, what are you talking about? Are you a new sign business (and don't have a clue about the trade)?
  14. clearing over floor decals

I wouldn't. I wouldn't even give a suggestion of a clear. Too many potential problems. The one thing they can do is use whatever wax/sealer is recommended for the type of floor they have.
  15. What kind of sign is that?

That's right, they are. Want 20 or 30?
  16. Signed Contract

Yea, what Gino said. We made our own form 20 years ago and still use it. And also know that once the sign is delivered you don't own it anymore, at least not in this state. As a matter of fact the client may not even own it once it's installed on a building if they are a tenant. So if there is...

  18. Discussion How do you pay yourself?

I have employees. I have a payroll service for them, and it's great. But for myself I just have an amount I take each month. I pay my estimated taxes every quarter.
  19. Discussion How do you pay yourself?

I don't know why you would use a payroll service when you are the only employee. Even if you have employees I don't know if I would do that. You can set an amount you withdraw every week, but at the end of the year your income is whatever profit the company made. You should also be making...
