  1. Cet q5-500 or mamaki jfx200-2513

Mimaki supports the JFX200 for the first year with Mimaki employed techs. That means you don't have to deal with dealer techs for the first year. I had a customer in the middle of nowhere Michigan where the plan tickets are $1000 at least to get there. He was having some issues with print...
  2. Roland XR-640 Take up Reel - Tips Please !! Too much buckling

I'm not sure how those take ups work on the Roland but on the Mutoh take ups, I usually have to adjust them for proper balance. On the left side of the machine take a long, skinny piece of banner and wrap it around the take up tube and then pull the remaining banner through the area where media...
  3. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone

    Happy Thanksgiving!
  4. A problem we have been seeing on older CJV30 and JV33 models and how to fix it!

We have been seeing a specific issue with older CJV30 and JV33 models. If you are having issues with keeping the left magenta channel clear and/or the cap top does not seem to be lining up with the head very well, replace your cap slider. The pegs that allow the slider to slide smoothly erode...
  5. busted our print head CJV30-130

Most of our customers are installing these heads on their own. The most important part is turning the machine off, unplugging it, hit the power button after it is unplugged and waiting 15 minutes before starting. If you do that, there is minimal damage you could do to the machine. The second...
  6. busted our print head CJV30-130

We have them for much cheaper. Here is a link. PS. I would suspect something fishy with that pricing the dealer gave you. It's almost 15% higher than Mimaki's end user list price. That's 15% on top of what everyone else is supposed to pay.
  7. Resolutions, passes and what they mean.

The resolution of your designed files has more to do with the quality of the print than the print resolution does. If you print a high res file on a low res profile, it will look pretty darn good. If you print a low res file on a high res profile, it will look bad no matter what you do. Low res...
  8. Versaworks Banner Feed Calibration Settings

Run the feed calibration on the printer and set Versaworks to let the printer handle the feed compensation rather than the profile. I never understood why they put the feed calibration in Versaworks profiles. Everyone's is going to be a little different so having it set in a profile is kind of...
  9. Fence Mesh Vinyl

The liner is key to keep your machine clean. Check out Arlon mesh banner.
  10. Scribble your problems away!

The spec says that it gives you CMYK, RGB and HEX values.
  11. Scribble your problems away!

    Mind Blown
  12. CSM file updates

I'm not saying you are doing anything shady. It was an honest question. When you bought your version of Flexi their business model was to sell software for new machines. If their software worked for every machine for the rest of time, they would never make money. In general they don't give out...
  13. CSM file updates

I'd be interested in the legality of "Sharing" this file. I would say that if it is something you can purchase, such as the latest version of Flexi, from the developer, then getting it for free from someone else would be considered piracy. That is what I am assuming is the case.
  14. Adjust ink levels on Mimaki UJF-6042

There is no way to do it on the machine. Your best bet is to ask your Mimaki dealer to get some chips from Mimaki that you can use to get the rest of the ink out. I'm not sure how receptive they are to that but as a new machine purchase, I would assume they would be. Have them explain why the...
  15. Roland SP-300 Print Alignment Issue--Need Help

That head was not aligned physically and there is no arguing about it. You're going to have to go in and do all of the alignments from start to finish to fix this issue. The physical alignments must be done before the electric timing ones. If not, you get the issue you are having. If I did that...
  16. Print head question

All Mutoh print heads are now solvent resistant including the RJ900X. All print head prices have also gone up. This started at the end of last year some time. So what I am saying is, you're good to go as long as you aren't trying to put dye sub through a used solvent head. That will cause...
  17. Print stop mid-job Mimaki JF 1631 - GetOverlappedResults error

Reinstall your USB driver and try using a different USB port. The error you are getting is saying that the USB communication is timing out. It could be due to a corrupted driver, bad USB port or cable. If all 3 printers are failing, I would say it is the driver is corrupted.
  18. Many errors and the machine MUTOH VJ 1204 does not turn on after 20 minutes

Unfortunately no. Error 16 means that there is a malfunction in the CPU itself. The CPU is the brains of the printer, so if it fails, it is done for good.
  19. Many errors and the machine MUTOH VJ 1204 does not turn on after 20 minutes

Error 16 is a main board CPU error. You can try to take the main board memory out, clean the terminal and reinstall the memory. If that doesn't help, you will need a new main board.
  20. flat bed printers

Take a look at the Mimaki JFX200. It's an entry level, 4'x8'+, high quality, UV flat bed. The price range is going to beat a lot of the competitors and it is backed by a major manufacturer unlike these Chinese brands you see around. I have installed 2 of them and have never had to go back to...
