The existing splash is about two months old, done by me.
I told the client I was worrying about blistering, or even a thick layer of paint expanding/contracting on the glass.
That is a lotta cut vynull small text on that!
Last Sprinter I did (actually the only one so far) had cut vynull and subbed out prints and I got $750, very minimal copy.
If someone is doing that for $250 they are insane, sorry. I can get that for two truck doors on a good day.
And why the OP...
Are you saying you are still hungry after having had the lap band installed?
(installed? I don't know what to call it)
I have put on 5# since last year, probably due to stress.
Went back to the hypnotist last month to get rebooted, and it has helped considerably.
A customer wants a new splash (yay!) but rather than scraping off the existing splash, he wants me to simply paint over it.
Is this a bad idea?
I would be using KILZ primer then 1-S fluorescents.
(just like what is on there now)
Thanks.

#1 never design without a deposit.
#2 send the "client" a bill for design, and like Nancy said, call the other shop.
Maybe they don't know that it is not cool to do this.
Maybe the customer didn't realize it either.
You may never get paid, but I did once.
I also know a guy who had this same...
On a drive this weekend I noticed not one but four embroidery shops.
(two new)
Apparently a lot of people are doing it around these parts.
Only two had legible signs, though.

I think you are being screwed. The first mag didn't stick because he left it in the hot cab and it warped. The other blew off. Neither instances are your fault.
You need to print out a care sheet for customers which also says only to store the mags on a fridge or metal toolbox when not in use...
I measure the windshield so I know how long to make the decal.
I try to use a font that will look OK and not stretch it.
I type in what it says then distort the lettering in Composer as if it's smiling.
I do it by eye.
Luckily I have not had to make one of these in a few years.
Making it...
What about a highly stylized cup shape that was shiny black on a orangey oval background, offset, with gilded dimensional lettering on a darker brown background?
This pic is all I could find to describe what I was thinking.
But with your wonderful carving skills, I know you could make the...
Like the latest offering, I didn't like the competitive prices part.
You need to lose the "s" on "Windows".
And there is no way in hell I would ever use that line about the 2-day turnaround with artwork provided. You will be the one to get all the crappy Word and Publisher layouts to have to...
Nah, I couldn't care less about that.
Steve was the only "font" person who ever gave my alphabet a try, and he is welcome to use it! I need to make some numbers for it too.
I am honored if anyone wants to use it. That's enough for me.
Just pleeeese don't squeeze it.
I really like Rick's take because his mushrooms look whimsical.
I do not like your font choices, especially on the latter versions.
Here's my weak attempt at turning the mushroom into sort of a (sinister-looking) coffee cup.
Mine is a bit Halloweenical in coloring, I guess it's just that time...
Yes, Len, I drink my Natty Ice with a raised pinkie!
Glad you can use it, Adrian.
It still freaks me out to see it, my kids too.
It's like "Whoa, did I do that?"
I like the top one best also.

I would suggest an call early this morning to the unemployment office to find out proper procedure. I know someone who was recently "let go" for no reason, who was given one day to turn in their key and get their personal belongings. This person did nothing wrong except work for the employer for...
Looks like it's one of those free TV show type fonts, from Harry Potter or Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Maybe something here.
