I have FineCut for that. Works pretty slick. Never really knew what it was, but I got it when I bought the printer. I just used it for cutting on the plotter, but didn't realize for a while I could use it in Illustator.

Ok, I must be a moron. I've never been able to easily convert any text that I "arch" in Illustrator to lines, and have it stay in that same arch when I convert it to outlines. Yes, it stays there, but the lines it creates are in a straight line right where I typed them. I remember fixing...

Yeah, fellers will sew and put grommets in the banner for no charge...at least on mine they don't. I order a ton from them, so I don't know if that's standard...I assume it is though.

All I know is I wasn't able to do it w/ Oraguard on mine w/o the satin edge...I had the felt one. The backing on that stuff is so light it SUCKS! if you practice a lot, you can almost get it to work ok by having someone pull the backing....but you'll never get it yourself....at least I haven't.

Yeah me too...I feel like it's gonna take me 4 more years to learn this printer. You'd think after a year and a half, I'd feel more confident about it. What are these gray bars? I must need to know what they do.

Before I bought the company, we never had an upgrade. We ran the Gerber software on Win 95. Come to think of it...still use that about daily. EVERYONE that comes in wants stuff off of it that we've done for them before. So I guess the upgrade was when we bought the JV3. But just got all new...

I include everything as part of the price if I use the whole thing or not. EXCEPT maybe transfer tape. Depends if it's a tiny 15" roll, or a 54"

If your gonna go banner...get a 19oz. from Fellers. You can order it already hemmed and grommet'd (if that's a word), and just stick your vinyl to it.

Yeah, I think we're way over analyzing weeding. I start at one side, and end at the other. That's how I do it. I think that's how most people do. What you do in between doesn't matter.

It's your call...I personally order all of my supplies from Fellers, (mainly because of free shipping, and no local suppliers) and all my equipment from Advantage Sign Supply. Fellers looks to be entering the equipment world, so that may change, but overall, I'm not seein' me switchin' away any...
