  3. Font for a motel sign

Thanks Fred. I have wondered if offering to do that for folks would be against the forum terms of use? Since perhaps the custom Gerber style could be considered proprietary? -Ted
  4. Font for a motel sign

The typestyle is Burgess Brush which I believe might be a Gerber only font, but it doesn't hurt to search around.
  5. Font ID Please

  6. Quick and dirty: Crash course instructor using the Gerber Edge desperately needed!

What version windows are you running? What types of cables connect your EDGE to your PC? Double check what Pat said above about the version. There are "full versions" that can only send to plotters, not assign print colors. There are also "layout stations" that can design, but not send to print...

  8. FONT ID help

Gilgamesh Bold (Regular) might be close enough. That looks like something generated from a stitching program, and it may have been slightly modified from original.
  9. Type of Substrate To Use

We would use 10mm Alumalite for that. We also rivet letter track on that type of panel all the time, just have to be careful not to drill through to the other side.
  10. Let's Try This Again... (sign hardware)

We have had that same product in our shop (though it was years ago) and I am fairly positive that it came from Hang Ups Unlimited (See Rick's link) under the E-Z Frame Accessories category
  11. Shipping large cut vinyl

Another vote here for the 3M SCPS-55 tape. We use it on all cut vinyl jobs that have an air-egress adhesive, including the 680cr reflective we use on ambulance work.
  12. Why didn't I think of that???? (scaling)

I also simply measure a known element, and scale up. The larger the measurement the better, as in a whole wall or vehicle wheelbase. The Illustrator clipping mask trick is very handy as well to scale up quickly. I recently discovered this masking tape at Target. It's not exact but it's so far...
  13. Tips for applying 48" wide application tape

Cheap enough I just ordered one to try out. Our laminator is too much of a pain to web up to use app tape very often, unless it's 50 to 100 feet at a time. Might decide to mount this a panel and then mount that with hinges to the end of a bench....
  14. Roof Brackets

We do the same as J Hill. Just make sure you pack a level :)

  18. 1-500 sequential numbering - how to?

EDIT: Sorry just noticed this was a necropost. Oops! I'll leave my reply anyway for future needs. Same here. I do all variable data (like sequential numbering) with Versaworks' built in feature. For sequential numbers I make a spreadsheet that generates them and then export to CSV in the size...

Vaguely similar to Diana Script, but certainly not a match.
