Well, they went for my offer, but they want the white lettering cut to put on the outside of the glass and a blue panel to go up..... inside. Easy enough, now. I convinced them going any other crazy route will cost them. It's all about the money.

They want this one to look like the others as far as seeing the blue and it not being completely opaque. :wink: I offered to do them all over again so they'd match and he said NO to that very quickly.

A test we used to do on all re-painted vehicles was a simple scotch tape trick. Take a piece about 3" long and put it on suspect areas, press it down re-al good and use your finger nail, let it on for a minute or two and then lift it off. Now, that was back in the days of hand-painting them...

I agree. That's why I put a call into him to maybe find out more information, like does he feel a slight raised portion around the letters or go outside and see if they might be put on the outside. It just doesn't seem like a solid piece and I doubt they spent a lotta money doing this to all...

Okay, I'm gonna ask what everyone else is afraid to ask............. Does he look like a terrorist or what one would consider a terrorist ?? It might not be PC to ask this, but it is in your best interest with something of this nature to be on the safe side, then to have this guy come back...

I just made the guy an offer. I can do what he wants, white lettering showing out and blue from viewing on the inside. I will die-cut the white separate and give him a piece of blue to put over the top. It will be a two-step process, as there are way too many ways to accomplish this and none...

As far as I can see, there is nothing double-sided or blockout involved. You can see blue looking out the window and the white lettering creates a blockout, but only at the letters. I called the guy and asked him to call his store location and give me some more details.

So, how does that stuff stick to the window ?? You can't print on the adhesive, can you ??

We won't be installing it. It's gonna be sent to a store about 4 hours away. Their local location will pick it up at our shop, then send it in one of their own carrier trucks.
