  1. Print and cut machine. which one?

If it's the worst forum, take a hike. No one is making you stay here. You've gotta learn to take a beatin' if you aren't gonna stick to your story. You still got lots of info, but just chose the one that you wanted to hear.

Anytime you've gotta keep ink in your lines, it ain't gonna be cheap. Period.
  7. Employee Medical Insurance

My wife and I don't have any kids yet, and we've maybe been to the doctor once in the past 6 years, so HSA was great for us!

Don't ya love the things ya learn by accident?
  9. Illustrator can't fit my design

I considered that, I was just annoyed that I had to scale it. Just wondered if there was an easy way around it...not that scaling it will kill me.
  10. Illustrator can't fit my design

I'm trying to make a layout that is 5' tall, by 28' long. Illustrator just takes a dump all over itself when I tell it to go that big, and tells me it doesn't know how. It's CS2, but I've never had to make anything that big before...any ideas on a way around this? It's just going to be some...

  14. Advise Please Roland vs Mimaki

AMEN to that. Advantage is the best HANDS DOWN on tech support, and teaching you and just taking care of you all around. I haven't delt w/ Matt, but our company has delt w/ the same guy (Rick Reigler) there since we bought our first vinyl cutter back in 95. GREAT company.
  15. printable magnetic material

Yeah, I have a Mimaki, and they said just don't do it. They said it can be done if you want to risk wreckin' your print heads (which I don't) so I never even went there. If I have a lot of magnets, I just order from Stouse.
  16. MBX Vinyl Zapper

That's the truth. I about ran out on a job once. It's not fun to try and make those things stretch. When you re-order, I remember thinkin' the price was high for them, but then I remembered how much time I saved.
  17. Banding on a Mimaki JV3

I've never had an eco-sol, but heard when I first got into digital that the prints didn't last quite as long in comparison.
  18. Banding on a Mimaki JV3

hahahaha...not funny. I haven't ever had to adjust a thing, so I'm just tryin' to learn. I'm still sold on it.
  19. Banding on a Mimaki JV3

How do you correct banding "on the fly" w/ the JV3? I haven't had enough of a problem to have to mess w/ it before, but I'm startin' to do vehicle wraps now, and it's gotta be perfect. I remember the guy that installed and trained me telling me how to do it, but not enough to remember what he...
  20. Do you keep your cutter running all day?

It's all personal preference...but mines on in the morning, off at night.
