It was great to meet you and your (future) Mrs! Glad you got the painting bug. I didn't feel qualified to teach anybody anything!
For some reason, I had envisioned you as a codger. :)
Nice to see you're not.
Bumping this back up.
Today my 4E started acting sporadic.
It's like the little forked bar which lifts the razor/head cutter thingy is out of whack.
I was running a 50-yard roll which is probably too heavy, and it started to make even more noise than usual.
The cutter part seems to be...
I voted other, because I'm with Fred. Except for the part about giving it away free.
I have had a customer who is too cheap to pay for his layout (Looks like a logo to me) which I designed 12 years ago, who went to another shop, they took a pic of it and voilà! It is on cheap banner billboards...

Build up a client base. Learn to deal with...

I never ever email a sketch without a deposit.
Period.
No exceptions.
Been bit before and it sucks.

I would also cut the lettering into smaller sections.
Another thing you could try is to snap a chalk line as a registration guide, underneath where the lettering would go so there are no crumbs falling.
I also sometimes put up a plain line of masking tape as a guide to keep me on track...
Hey as long as it's not swollen.
I'm a sign chick too, welcome aboard. The more the merrier.
I love to call Doc Welty on the phone, just before he hangs up he always says "Have a swell day!"
