  7. Weird vinyl issue. Has anyone ever seen anything like this?

Since it seems to be happening where the black print is I would think something to do with heat.
  8. Carved HDU signs longer than 8'

I'll ask, but I don't think they do that. And since they already quoted the job knowing that is was one sign in two pieces from a single sheet I think they would have offered/suggested that option were it available.
  9. Carved HDU signs longer than 8'

Because for this job my HDU supplier also is the router.

I never liked carving in HDU, the grit that gets on everything sucks. Plus you don't have the nice smell of wood. But wood is definitely more challenging, learning to work with the grain.
  15. First try at hand carving....

Looks good! I remember when I decided to learn hand carving. Since my hand lettering skills were being replaced by the computer I thought I'd learn setting that s machine would never be able to do..... I still do skittle hand work now and then, mostly when it's something that can't go on the...
  16. Is the backing to Mac tac vinyl recyclable?

Our recyclers won't take it, or coroplastic which always dumbfounded me since I thought it was made from recycled stuff.

  18. Roll up / slat door vinyl install tips

That's what I was just going to suggest, a dual blade xacto. I still have one in my sign kit
  19. About Dee sign…..

This place has them for $2 less and in black. I don't think the price is bad, I'd just add for assembly and mark it up. The client can decide if they want it or not. http://designteamsigncompany.com/agency/united-real-estate/frames-/-posts-/-stands/aluminum-swing-posts/fr-sp30/
