You don't need to solder this fuse.
Just remove from socket and install new one. I think you can purchase it in electrical shop or ebay, or Mutoh distributors.
Locked printhead constructed for desktop printers with width less than 30".
This printhead 4 times cheaper than original and have protection from Epson - strips on print over approx. 30" for impossible to use on wide-format printers.
It is impossible to detect by printer's menu. You can detect...
You need to check not F2 and F3 only.
Please look to attached picture. You can find all fuses what can burned.
You have to remove mainboard for check soldered fuses.
It can be because your media is too transparent for media sensor.
I think you can fix this problem by closing media detection sensor on back side under pressure rollers.
Just stick piece of self-adgesive media on hole where sensor placed.
Why you replaced ink ID boards?
This problem can happen if you upgrade main firmware, but not upgrade heater control firmware.
I has similar problem, but junction board was damaged. I am purchased service code and use printer without smarcard now.
I am used Bulk Ink system with charged smartcards also. But I found most cheaper solution.
I am purchased service code for permanent disable smartcard system of printer and use now third-patry ink without any cards on my VJ1624 and VJ1638 printers within 2 years.
It happened because CR_FFC cables damages by clamp.
This problem can be solved by replace top CR_FFC cable. Mutoh recomends also to replace cable clamps for new style clamps.
Or you can install firmware v.2.07 or later and switch off parameter for HeadHeat error and leave old cables.
