I've had the same problem before with this mutoh. only happens on perforated. i think my work around last time was to put a sheet on the back of the printer where the material rolls onto. that way its solid as the material is going into the machine. this sheet is 4' x 5' so i really don't...

not to sound completely dumb, but where exactly is the optical eye located. I swear i've done it before but having an extremely off day and dont remember.

I am running a VJ-1204 and trying to print perforated. It prints part of my image and sends a "end of roll" message. How can I get past this or is there something about printing perf i'm missing.

fixed that issue, had the solenoid cord plugged into the wrong spot on the board (tech had unplugged and went with where is said solenoid on the board). all back up and running now.

had a tech come in yesterday and looked at it. was the cut solenoid. but now, i'm having the sticky carriage lock issue. i taped it down now and its running again. gotta figure out how to clean it and then try with out the tape.

got another call into tech support. thinking more than anything, may be a bad relay. Kept the back cover off and turned it on. Again, when it starts to initialize, I heard a click. From the backside, sound like a relay. But of course there is 7 of them so not sure what to think just yet...

pulled the memory chip and looked for blown fuses....still doesn't get past initialization

nevermind...just talked to a tech. said to try the chip and to also look for any blown fuses. Have a few things to do, then I will give it a try.

is it the back cover that is under the roller or the cover over the main control area?

tried it...didn't work. frustrating. have spring car graphics to print and can't get them done. racing starts tomorrow

I have a Mutoh 1204 VJ48. I came in this morning to no power. I unplugged it, let it sit for a bit. Plugged it back in and it fired up. But when it starts to initialize the carriage, it shuts off again. I have a call into tech support right now, but of course, my work load is heavy right...

we just purchased a Mutoh ValueJet 1204. Using Flexi and Production Manager. Whenever I print, I get margin lines on the edge of the print. i have looked through the manual 10 times over and I can't find how to turn it off....any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you

in the wasatch rip....the cmyk channels go in increments of 0-255. when you are wanting to color match a PMS color, you go by the cmyk #s on the pantone book and multiply each # by 2.55. so is cyan is 100, you have 255, if magenta is 45 it would be 115, so on and so forth.

ok, i'm running wasatch, don't recall what version right now. i did not send an RGB image. It is CMYK. When the machine was first setup, the tech that I was working with showed me had to do absolute black, we made a profile for it so whenever black comes up, its absolute black with only 255...

when i try to print black, set the color to 255 black only, i still get all 4+ colors printing...what can i do to correct this? what could be causing this problem?

I just updated my husbands computer so we now have windows vista on there. not my choice, but thats what it came with. i tried to install SignMate on there and it keeps coming up with an error everytime I try and open the program. I'm not sure if there is a compatibility issue or something...
