I will stock full set (12) and I can manage to stock addition 4 cartridges. So need to know which 4 to order. I am based in Fiji and have to order inks of Australia.
From what I understand is that the Black head tends to fails more compared to the other colours. So if all colours are in one head then what does this mean. Is one colour per head better ?

Mutoh 1614a has one wide print head.... 4 color machine, inks goes through the same head.
Roland XC-540 has six print heads... one for each colour. Six colour machine
Now I want to know which is better i.e. one printhead or Six ? Considering warranty, reliability etc as oppose to one or six...
I think VP was released a little over a year ago. So I guess the upgraded model should be out soon with Roland Intelligent Pass Control™ and Precision Firing Pattern i.e. giving faster speeds. (These technology is currently in XC540)
It would be interesting to know if someone has infor on this.
On VP540 it takes about 30min to print 48"x48" @ 1080x1080 so photo quality @ 720x1440 wold take longer.
This should give you an ideas as to what you can produce per hour.
Definitely VP is better.
