  1. jv5 320 print heads problem (DX5)

Check your pumps and tubes under capping station for possible air or ink leakings. If there's no vacuum seal, the pump won't aspire ink. It doesn't happen always on all colors, Sometimes it's only one color which suffers.
  2. A question for the JV5 and JV33 experts

    er...nobody?
  3. A question for the JV5 and JV33 experts

Oh, that's a good question I always had in mind. Please experts, any clue on this subject?
  4. SP-300 to SP-300v

Here also doesn't work the tech mode max ink select. Might it be related to the Versaworks software version? I've tried with 1.2, 3, and 4.11
  5. SP-300 to SP-300v

We've done the same with an SC-540. Now it reads SC-545EX but the Versaworks cannot detect the Ink Set. We turned on the Switch 7. Should we also touch any dip on Service Mode?? Thanks, Robert.
  6. Mimaki JV5 - Take up Reel

Yes, this machine makes you to turn into a technician to have it working well. Well, indeed is a picky machine, but I'm pretty sure, lots of quality problems would be solved if Mimaki at last would release a Wave or Soft Feather Pattern printing mode.
  7. Can I make my 540 v print faster?

But I heard that the SP-540V is not Intelligent Pass capable. Am I wrong?
  8. JV5 capping doesn't go down enough

Solved Ok, i finally discovered that the camshaft wich rotates to compensate the head height was loose and it was not working, so the poor machine couldn't know the head height. So the capping position (relative to the head height) was wrong. Now it works flawesly!!! :clapping:
  9. JV5 capping doesn't go down enough

By the way, the Firmware is V5.0. I don't know if it's related.
  10. JV5 capping doesn't go down enough

No it's not that thing. Thanks Bmw. I think is a problem with the NCU/DropBOX height adjustment. That adjustment is into the Capping Adjustment in Maintenance Mode. The machine does it automatically and I cannot set the height manually. Sometimes the head plate strikes and sometimes works...
  11. New Mimaki JV33 130 for $6.000

Don't waste your time, it's a fake. Oh, and never buy anything at Indonesia, they will take the money and you'll never see the goods. You would be surprised watching their webpages, how professional they look.
  12. Roland parts

If the cost is too much, you can make it as I did. I scanned the old sticker, then I printed it in vinyl, then did cut the windows and then laminated with permaflex (floor laminate). Oh, before that I also translated the menu to my mother's tongue, hehe. I was 3 years ago and it's still like...
  13. Mimaki Jv33-160 yellow print problem

Usually when you see black in other color nozzles it's due to a difference in pressures between both colors. I'm not sure, but a broken valve, as you note, could make sense.
  14. Aftermarket dampers for JV33/JV5

Thanks guys. Is there an opinion from final users?? Thanks again, Robert.
  15. Aftermarket dampers for JV33/JV5

Dear friends, any knows a good brand of aftermarket dampers for JV33/JV5? I've tried some cheap and they do weird things like not closing, not vacuum, even they sound "click" when the printhead is parking!! The original ones aren't an option, as I plan to swap all the 32 dampers on the JV5 and I...
  16. JV5 capping doesn't go down enough

Sometimes (not always) when I try to start printing, the capping station doesn't come down enough to let the printhead plate pass to the printing zone, so it hits the NCU chassis and stop with an error. Anyone know what can be damaged? could it be the capping sensor? Thanks Robert.
  17. cleaning solutions

So Artbot, do you think I could use Xilene to remove dried ink on the headtop filter with a syringe and before 5 minutes I clean it with Cilohexanone and another syringe, or I still have risk to ruin the printhead?
  18. Roland Soljet Pro111 xc540

I stopped having problems with fuses and transistors burned on mainboard when I put a UPS to the Versacamm. The UPS not only helps you when current gets off, but also synthesizes the current supply to a perfect 50 Hz (60 on your side I guess) 220v wave so you wont suffer volt fluctuations. As a...
  19. misting on new jv5 heads

Also review the printhead height. If it has a big gap from the printhead plate to the material, you'll get overspray for sure. Also, be sure you're playing with the last firmware of the machine.
  20. whats wrong with my XC-540?

If all the other things our folks have suggested are ok, look at the temperature. Very high and very cold environmental temps can make the printhead to cry.
