I´m having this problem also. But when doing the steps you recommend i had a grit encoder check fail! What can cause this? The encoder seems clean to me. Thanks in advance

the cartridge is recent. I changed it when the problem happened for the first time. They are opened, altough they have a pice that closes them after refilling. You can see it in the photos

Yes MLD ink! I use them from about 4 years and no problem untill now.

It happened in summer! And continues now in winter. I live in Portugal and the temperatures are not extreme inside de office (15-25º celcius variation) Also, i have the bottle in the same room and no problem inside the bottle! The source here is a reseller that only makes that..sell! no customer...

Hi! I´m having a strange problem with my VP540. I use Triangle Inks with no problems at all untill now. The Magenta is getting "solid" in the cartrigde. It looks like the water is separating from the ink making it look inconsistent. This make the lines clog so i have no magenta in the print...

yes it is an aftermarket head (as all the other 3). I tested the print and cut like you suggested and it´s fine! Mike: When the file is ONLY vectors i get better results designing in CMYK. Don´t ask me the reason :Oops:

the problem happens horizontally. The spray is in the direction of the movement of the print carriage. If it what a feed problem shouldn´t it be something like banding or overlay?

i tried with different materials. Vinyl, Banners, flex. It does it in all of them. I tried different temperatures also but i usually don´t mess with them so it´s strange to start doing this only now...

i checked that also.it´s in LOW position :(

hi, thank you all for trying to help. The nozzle check is perfect! And the print head is recent! I checked the encoder strip and it´s clean. If it was a static issue, would not the other colors print with deflections too? And how about the spray beeing different in different print modes?

it also happens in High Speed, but is less noticeable. If prints thousands of ink dots arround the text. Hope you can see it in the picture, arround the Ç for example

Some progress with help from our friend artbot!! I can now tell that the problem is with data coming to the heads. I changed the cables cyan to magenta and the way around and the problem changed to the cyan! Then i changed the position of all the cables and the problem stays at magenta so it´s...
