Does anyone know where I can get a replacement pinch roller spring for an FC5100? Part number 621172210. My service man says he can't get parts for this old machine anymore. Alternatively if anyone knows the specs for the spring so I could try and find a work-alike online somewhere that may also...
I need a sign frame for an office building I'm working in. It's a 1/2" quarter round polished silver that looks a lot like the quarter round prestige collection frame from scott sign systems. I've already contacted them and they say it's not theirs though so now I'm at a loss. I'll attach...
SOLVED!
I goofed and forgot to set the color management to density control only. After I did that I used the Gretag I1 option and it worked like a charm :)
Hopefully my flub will help someone in the future who googles this.
edit: I recently attended the color management webinar from roland...
I'm wondering if someone could tell me which device I should choose from the measurement devices tab in Versaworks 4. I have an X Rite I1 but the only options I'm getting are the Gretag Macbeth I1 and the X Rite I1IO. Those aren't exact matches and I cant get a successful scan with either one...
No problems I just noticed it and thought I'd ask. I would've just asked my tech but he never seemed too confident about the laminator. He's more of a printer tech. I'll call him though and see what he says.
I have a 54" Royal Sovereign RSC-1400c and I recently noticed that the bottom roller can shift about an eighth of an inch left or right. I've never noticed it before but it could be that this is supposed to be the case. Anyone out there know if this is indeed working as intended or do I need...
Wow thanks everyone for the replies :D
The cutting strip is fine I've never gone through backing and the machine is pretty new so there's no visible wear from just daily use yet.
About cutting while its hot... the machine heats up to cut. That was my first idea as to why this was happening so...
I'm not sure neither of ours seemed to bat an eye when I asked what they could do for me on pricing. Maybe they're just rebellious down here or something. One thing that was weird is that they gave different prices on the printers and each had a different laminator but the totals they came up...
We had two vendors competing for the sale so maybe that had something to do with it. I actually feel sorta bad about the way it went down but I wasn't the decision maker. I think it's mostly governed by roland controlling the availability in a given region and we just so happened to be midway...
Yes they come with and I'm still using a 45 degree I'll try a 60 and see. Disheartening to hear it may just be like that. Only thing I print is control tac. The boss won't like that news at all if it comes down to that :(
It is true though the 3m stuff almost feels like it cant wait to get...
The biggest issue I think with the larger printer is dealing with the garbage. My father is keeping all the boxes because we're anticipating some shipments coming up but if we we're trying to throw it all away I feel like our residential garbage men would get rather fed up up with the mass...
I'm having a strange issue with my contour cuts that started occurring about 4 months into my first blades life. The blade cuts fine normally but on any corner greater than 90 degrees its seems to have trouble turning and bunches up the material then hops a good quarter inch then resumes...
We're a three person shop but I do all the printing myself. We have a XC-540 and loading and unloading the material is not much of an issue. We're in the process of finishing our printer room addon to the shop but at the moment it is cramped into our vinyl room. Aside from knocking the...
We're a small mom, pop and son shop (I'm the son) and we've recently took the plunge into the digital printing side of the business with a new Roland XC-540. I've been lurking for a couple months now and thought I'd introduce myself and give a thank you for all the passive assistance you've...
Thank you very much for supplying that pinout schematic. I checked the cable and it is correct. Turns out the communications chip is probably the culprit. Gonna have to call up ioline again and see what they say. Supposedly the chip is an easy replacement. Again thank you made things much easier.
