  1. HP L260 material shifting

We have this happen on ours also. The left hub never holds. Put a rubber band on the spindle against the hub to hold the hub and roll in place.
  2. Anyone using the Shopvox cPortal?

Shopvox is much better than Signvox. We were on signvox since 2012 and were one of the first to switch to shopvox. It's an easy transition for your employees because its all the same basic concepts and workflows, just more flexible. I think they can transfer your data to a trial account first so...
  3. Anyone using the Shopvox cPortal?

We have a few customers on it. Been getting more lately. The customers that use it for ordering all seem to like it. We use it for customers that order the same products all the time with standard content changes. They should be able to give you a demo. We've found it works best when there is...
  4. laser cutting acrylic question

Same thing here. Only fire I had was cutting though 1" in a single pass. It burned pretty good because I didn't notice it right away. It was a big piece of acrylic and had a pretty good flame. I pulled it out of the machine by grabbing the non burning part and it was hard to get it to stop...
  5. Demo Unit For Sale

How much? I have someone that wants to buy our 260 so if I can get away without too much of a price gap it might be worth the upgrade.
  6. Can I do it all? Signs, Screen Printing, Embroidery, Vehicle Graphics?

I have avoided vehicle graphics but we do everything else listed plus dtg, rubber stamps, commercial print and mailings (digital presses), laser engraving, promotional products and a couple more random things. Our customers like that we can offer them everything from one place.
  7. Showroom ideas

Thanks guys. We moved across the building we are in last January and decided we wanted to have something to show people what we do since we did't have much of a showroom before and most customers don't know half the stuff we do. I don't have a tour of the production area but I will try to take...
  8. Showroom ideas

Here's a virtual tour of our showroom: http://webdata.jamestownrubberstamp.com/virtual%20tour/Pano//index.html
  9. Caldera ?s

If you switch from another rip caldera will give you a huge discount. I think it was something like half price. Just tell them you are want to switch from versaworks and want to do the trade in. They will want you to turn in your old rip software.
  10. Cutting to Multiple Cutters from Multiple Computers

CoCut has an option very similar to the Flexi Production manager that Legend mentioned. Because the computers we send from are no where near the cutter we use an old computer we had laying around to connect to the cutter and use almost like a print server. We can send jobs from any computer then...
  11. Graduation Banners

I had a photographer send me all sorts of stuff wanting to sue me over almost the exact same situation. No nice note like you got first. It didn't go anywhere because unless you do all the paperwork and pay to register your copyright with the government the most you can sue someone for is the...
  12. Roland LEF-20 UV LED printer ink odor overwhelming making us nauseous light headed

We have a direct color systems uv printer. It's somewhat similar and we have not noticed any smell.
  13. Big Banner For Shop!

I agree. Way too much info. 4' x 20' isn't that huge. I once did a 5' x 60' in front of our shop and had about 8 words and a logo on it and though it was too much. 2-4 words max and just change it out frequently if you want to deliver more messages. Simple, big, bold text is best for these.
  14. Need solution for annoying little feature of SignVox

I know it's not a real solution but you can change assignments right on the job board without going into the job. just sort by order number and all the jobs will be right next to each other. just go down the line and change them. don't hit ok until you change them all and it goes much quicker...
  15. Custom flags

    flagsource does a good job.
  16. HP LAtex 260 series printhead warranty returns? Where?

we always just call HP support. Used to take about 2 minutes but now seems to take about 10 and sending the report. If you have the report ready before it will go quicker. They just overnight them with a return label. We get a ton of cyan printheads that fail in warranty
  17. How not to unload a truck

I had a guy delivering us a pallet of paper a few weeks ago and did almost the same thing. He tried to roll it to the back of the truck so we can grab it with a forklift and he went too far. It started to lift him in the air as he tried to hold it from falling but he let go just in time not to...
  18. SignVOX vs ShopVOX

I'd actually like to get he premier version and am willing to pay more for the extra features but I do really wish they can find a way so we don't have to pay per user. That was one of the big draws of signvox especially when I want to add temporary or part time production people where the only...
  19. SignVOX vs ShopVOX

I get that and have some of the same feelings. Also keep in mind that they haven't announced how the transition will work and what the pricing will be for existing users. I just want to wait until all the details are available because like most people on here say they are usually fair and...
  20. SignVOX vs ShopVOX

I've been a user of signvox for several years. I started asking them some questions about some of the features listed for shopvox and they were nice enough to give me a quick demo of the new software. All I can say is WOW! This is in no way signvox just changing their product name to shopvox...
