Here are some of the colors that are off when printed from an Illustrator .eps file compared to the Color Chart. As far as we can tell, ALL the colors are off from the way they print on the color chart.

We use our VP540 as a cutter-only now. I don't think you can disable print mode to make a "cut only" setup. Just use empty ink carts (pull the tabs off that stick out to signal to the machine that the carts are empty). On the machine go in and turn off the pre-heat dryer, and in the rip...

Do you mean with a specific version of Versaworks, or a specific plotter? Never in over ten years of printing and cutting on Roland plotters using eps files at least 99% of the time have we ever experienced the cut-lines being cut off.

I agree with you 100%! I have been saying the same thing for a while - that they don't make them like they used to. They don't last as long, and they cost a lot more. It used to be a #11 would last many weeks (up to a month) for weeding and cutting. Now, we're lucky if they make it 4-5 days...

Nobody here addressed the *why* you're getting the bubbles; It's because of the layered vinyl is higher at the edges than the layer below it. Your squeegee cannot make full surface contact because of this gap - as small as it is. In your photo, you have some larger bubbles that are farther away...
