I will try just switching up the blade. I have never had an issue with the 45 degree blade it has only been recently since it started to do this. Thanks for the reply.
This has only shown up in my last few runs but when cutting just 2ml vinyl the blade is cutting right through the vinyl and backing and the force is set at 0. I am using a 45 degree blade and it is NOT brand new I think is was changed a couple weeks ago so I am not sure what the issue might be...
Thanks for the input. I did find a workaround but I would be happy to email the file to you Tony and see what you can come up with.
Workaround:
I actually flipped the file so instead of it printing horizontal I printed it vertical. It came out pretty much perfect. Does that make sense? what...
I am printing a graphic that has an arc to it and it is printing very choppy even at the high rez setting (1200dpi). If there any settings I can tweak in omega or something I should look into on the design side. The graphic was produced in Illustrator and is completely vectors printed with spot...
one more question not sure if this might be causing the problem. Orginally I had Omega 3.0 then upgraded to 4.0. Do I need to install 3.0 first on the new machine then upgrade to 4.0?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I just purchased a new computer running windows 7 64bit home prem.
I installed Omega 4.0 with no problem but when I am trying to add a vinyl printer the dialog is only giving me an option of local to install from. The remote and network tabs are not there and I need the network tab to install...
I am moving my plotter and need a longer cord. Do I need to get something special or will any RS-232 cable work? The cable I have now has a serial 9 pin adapter on one end and a 25 connector with just 3 pins. I would appreciate any help.
Bill, was actually able to hook me up with some. I really appreciate all who responded and will try to return the favor if someone gets stuck. That's why I love the site.
Anyone have any Avery Light Briar Brown Metallic vinyl? I need about 2yds for a custom project and really don't want to get a 10yd roll. I have checked a couple other suppliers who sell by the yard with no luck so far.
Thanks for the reply. I did find out what the problem is.
FYI to anyone upgrading to Omega 4.0 do NOT update the FX firmware off the installation disc. I guess doing so is what blew out my RFID reader which is a couple hundred dollar repair. Wish there was information regarding this included...
Hello, just upgraded to Omega 4.0 and tried to update my FX firmware. Looked like everything went fine but when the printer rebooted I am getting "fatal error 14" and now it is just stuck like that. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.
Tony, thanks for the info. Will the registration correction ever be something that can be changed in omega itself, or will you have to use the separate program, save, then print?
Thanks Fred. I use the regfixer to adjust for it but when I have to run a print a couple times to get it right it gets a little expensive. I will keep this in mind for future prints.
Has anyone else noticed certain colors printing out of registration worse than others. I have noticed specifically flood coat white and the silver medal printing out of registration much worse than other colors. Even with choke and spread I have the silver medal printing almost 10 pixels out of...
Just wondering if anyone signed up for a road show event and if you did have you received any type of confirmation? I signed up for one and have not received any kind of information. Just want to make sure I didn't screw something up.
