I'm trying to use VersaWorks Dual in Windows 10 with an SP-300. According to my sales person, Roland says that this is possible. My problem is that the USB port doesn't show up when the program starts. I can only choose TCP/IP. The printer is installed according to Windows 10. My feeling is...

All dampers are replaced and all caps are checked (two LC replaced). Now it's been too many jobs between these (new order that I started on yesterday), so I have to test print the eps and TIFF against the last batch to see a difference, but that will have to wait until the heads are replaced.

I burned through 10 CY and one LC in two weeks. Doesn't feel like a contamination, since other prints are ok, colorwise. Only using Roland original cartridges.

Sorry about the late answer. We'll change two heads tomorrow (BK and LC) and see what happens. Thare are so many problems with the machine right now, that I'm happy that it prints at all.

Can I force the XC-540 to print with one cartridge empty, or do both have to have ink in them? If one can't be empty, what's the use of having two?

Pull the cartridges and plug them in again, while the power is on. Might screw with reported levels, but at least you'll be printing again.

While I'm at it, I might as well ask another question. What settings in VersaWorks will give me the best prints on a regular, glossy vinyl on my XC-540? I know I've used the SV-GG Hi Gloss PVC Grey Glue, highest res, unidirectional printing and lowest speed to get good results before, but...
