One thing I've done before is uninstall JUST illustrator and then reinstall it. I've done this before on macs and windows machines. when you insert your install disk select "custom install" and only check illustrator.

JoshLoring... quick question... How well does Roland printers do with the Adobe RGB workspace as compared to sRGB? Are they able to hit some of those "hotter" colors? When I've worked with HP printers, it seems like they always did a little better job with standard photos in sRGB.

After lots of digging it seems that Quadra-K ink is just a type of dye ink... I went ahead and installed the two new dye print cartridges and it is printing ok. nothing goofy happened.... I got all worried over nothing.
