I am 16 pass...I thought at lower passes you needed more heat? Any chance you could snap a picture of your settings? what banner are you running?
Thanks.
that does not sound good...I am actually thinking more about a UV roll to roll printer. I also made a new profile for the banner...incredibly slow but the wrinkles seem to be mostly gone....testing for the next couple of days/weeks to see what happens. Thanks.
Perhaps…I have some test slowing down and lowering temperatures…I if remember right I went with 100% ink load in my profile…at lower ink loads the colors did not pop. Thanks
It prints economy banner just fine....it is double sided smooth banner that is the problem. Like this https://www.lexjet.com/hp-15-oz-prime-double-sided-blockout-banner-38in-x-164ft that is the problem...or ultraflexx DSS. I slowed the printer all the way down to 16 pass with a 300...
Just printing one side for banner stands. Tried Ultraflex (been a few years). At the time they were having quality issues depending on the country of origin of the dss. Will try again.
We already print at 10 or 12 pass with a delay…
Thanks
We did not sell banner stands when we ran Roland. We have tried countless double sided - super smooth banners over the years and never found anything that does not wrinkle on latex. ((Have not tired bantex due to extreme cost))
Actually considering Mimaki roll to roll UV printer…just what I...
I am considering buying the Epson S80600L. I can't get my HP latex to stop making wrinkles in double sided banner from the heat. I have had two people mention to me the solid black / navy would need to gas out before we mount into retractable banner stands. Do you think that is really true...
I need something with local support so for me it is back to Roland or I am also considering the Canon M Series. Love for one printer to cure all my problems but I may need two.
thanks for the reply.
What is the general consensus on the Roland UV printers? It’s been years since I ran Roland printers but thinking about going back to them. I am asking about the roll to roll not flatbed printers.
Thanks
They suggested taking to them but have to have ship…that would be $500-$600 in shipping, be down for a week, and no guarantee they fix it…
The cuts are not aligned when print - cutting.
We actually have done so many of their suggestions that we are getting it “fixed” now. We did replace the...
We have tried numerous suggestions from Summa and our vendor but it appears we are needing a tech for our Summa S class cutter. Are there "independent" techs out there? How would I find one? Our vendor wants $1295 for a visit. That seems a little extreme. We are in the St. Louis Missouri...
SOLVED! I knew there had to be a switch as well...We had the very left most piece upside down so it was not triggering the switch. Thanks Phil...your post made me look again.
We actually fixed the handle with epoxy…I said the same thing to my guy that fixed it…there has to be a switch that tells the machine it is down but we could not find it. Where is the switch? Thanks so much
Does any know of a Summa technician in the St. louis, Mo area? We replaced the pinch roller handle....seemed to go fine but now the summa t series keeps saying to insert media and put down pinch rollers....even though they are down. The people that sold it want $1295 tech charge just to come...
