  1. Increasing space between prints JV-33

I'm using ONYX X10. WHat else do I need to let you know? sorry.
  2. Increasing space between prints JV-33

I need the space to be larger between each job print so that Mimaki JV-33 sheet cutter doesn't cut into the CutServer barcode. My old machine was set up this way. So, I know it's possible. Just can't seem to find it. btw- I'm NOT talking about space between copies within a job... I mean the...
  3. JV33-SPii : How to clean/flush heads to sell/ship

I've shipped them with a dampened lint free cloth then saran wrap and a small rubber band around the perimeter/circumference of the head before. This was to have them reclaimed and they were fine. On the VERY short term I think it is a viable solution.
  4. JV33-SPii : How to clean/flush heads to sell/ship

THANK YOU for answering. I was worried no one would let me know how to do this. I also have a LOT of opened triangle 20/20 ink. I will PM you with info and prices in case your friend is interested. (We have to sign an OEM ink contract with the new machine).
  5. JV33-SPii : How to clean/flush heads to sell/ship

Yes it is a JV3 oops. We are buying a JV33 so I got confused. I can't do a custody wash because the mother board is blown. No power.
  6. JV33-SPii : How to clean/flush heads to sell/ship

I am parting out my mimaki that died last week. I want to salvage/sell the heads. How do I clean/flush them before they freeze up? I have them on a lint-free towel soak and I've been pulling ink through twice a day even over the weekend. I need to clean them and detach them ASAP. Thanks. ALso...
  7. What to do with a recently deceased machine.

How do I clean the heads so they don't dry out? I didn't find any posts on this.
  8. What to do with a recently deceased machine.

There are three useable heads right now. The black one prints, but needs recovered.
  9. What to do with a recently deceased machine.

My Mimaki JV3-75SPii's main board just died. Too many recent repairs and too much time and money to fix. We're investing in a new one. Looking to see if anyone knows where I can sell the parts or inks (some open, some unopened, all FULL) I haven't used. The Main Board went, and the black...
  10. Techs in Cleveland, Ohio, Midwest region. anyone?

Thanks. I got in touch with a few techs. No one really wants to work on this machine. We will look to invest in a newer model. -MM

I need a tech. Please contact me. I do not wish to use Advantage and GRIMCO does not have anyone in our region.
  12. JV3-75 No Display -- Power on, green power light on

I reconnected the power supply to the main board, and DISCONNECTED all of the head cable on the carriage assembly. Still nothing. I though this would at least boot up with 08 head errors across the board. I guess it's the main board. I have fixed one thing after another with this machine...
  13. JV3-75 No Display -- Power on, green power light on

I opened the back, disconnected the power supply from the main board, plugged in and fan went on. I'm guessing this means it is the mother board then. Does anyone have any ideas?
  14. JV33-160 not recognizing new ink cartridge

I just fixed a similar issue on my JV-3 last week. It was the cartridge sensor. It is a small lever at the bottom of the cartridge well. If you look at the side of your cartridge, with the chip on the upper left, you will see a small rectangular hole (approx 1" x .125") at the bottom. This is...
  15. JV3-75 No Display -- Power on, green power light on

I just changed the black print-head this morning. I powered up, the printer was going through its warmups (galloping horse & wiping) then the display just shut off. Now, nothing. The green power button is illuminated. But the display screen and small green light next to the display screen are...

Thank you for the info and help.
  17. JV-3 Half of Cyan not printing after head replacement

If I change the manifold, do I have to keep the Head ID or do I change it to the ID on the transferred manifold?
  18. JV-3 Half of Cyan not printing after head replacement

That was it. It was the ribbon cable. I had an extra on hand. It often is the simple fix. Thanks.MM
  19. JV-3 Half of Cyan not printing after head replacement

Test print showed bad results on Cyan head. It had a broken "projection" to the damper. SO, I replaced the Cyan head. Now, it is only printing half of the cyan. I pulled ink through line, damper and also from under the capping station. Still no ink on right side of cyan test print. Please...
  20. JV33 pump/damper problem?

How do I "open the valves"? I don't think I've ever done this and I have a JV3. I often pull ink through. Valves: what/where/how?
