I have a customer who wants clear static clings printed with white and metallic inks. I need like (6)4’x8’ prints. I’m in Pennsylvania and am seeing if anyone knows anyone that can do this. Any help would be great. Thanks
Ok thanks, that is more the point I was trying to get to. So is it standard practice to apply the graphics on the inside? I am just trying to figure this all out. And yes the customer is comparing products with other sign companies.
I think this got derailed alittle. I have done pan face mounts in the past using digital prints and laminating. My real question is this:
"Is there any real benefit to mounting the graphics to the inside of a pan face as opposed to the front."
I was thinking that if the graphics are mounting...
Not really sure, we would have probably used vinyl to cover the sides of the pan face and the flanges. I really am looking for some advice or pros and cons on doing the job on the inside or outside. I'm still trying to learn.
We were looking to do a digital print. We were pushing them to put it on the front and lamintating the print. They want gradients and pictures so digital print really seemed the most reasonable for the price. If they wanted the digital print on the inside we would of put it on clear and put...
Hello, a customer asked if we could mount the graphics to the inside of their pan face as opposed to the outside. My boss advised them that we could do this but they would have to replace their pan face over some years due to weathering and if we mounted it to the front, with laminate, it would...
Nice
I did these on a color span 72 UVR a couple years back. I loved the flat bed. Only down side was it only did 1/4 think stuff. That door above looks great. What is the clearance with your printer?
Well, we did it and it looks great. We never heard of the paint you guys mentioned but will have to give it a try. We adhered our stencil and it was good, we left it on after blasting and did about 6 coats of black spray paint, right out of the can. We let each coat dry for about 10 minutes and...
Could anyone help me with a few tips and tricks to get the best results for painting recessed letters on a sandblasted rock?
I have had trouble with painting recessed letters before on sandblasted signs. I get a messy look that i'm not happy with. I have never tried to paint recessed letters on...
I spoke with Roland tech support and they advised me to change the capping. I did that and now my test print is coming out worse than before and my colors are still a mess. I am not sure what to do. Suck it up and pay the service man may be my only option now.
I keep trying to print a file, I have resaved the file several different ways from a pdf to a flattened tif file to a jpeg to an eps file.
The file is grey but keeps coming out red on my printer. I have double checked and switched between many different grey swatches.
I did a test print of...
I am designing in Adobe Illustrator CS3 and ripping in Flexi Sign Pro 8.1v1. I am printing to a Mimaki JVC-160. I design on on computer and import into flexi on another computer. The colors on the second monitor look a little different than the first computer. The colors from the rip station...
I operate a Gerber Saber 404 CNC router. I have noticed that when cutting things such as aluminum and acrylic that having a nice new sharp bit makes a world of difference. Yeah I know big surprise. I saw a product call the Drill Doctor and it was for sharpening bits. I called them and they...
Thanks Richard. Yeah my boss told me you use sta-sharp, but he never really gets to showing me anything. I was thrown into running our CNC gerber saber with nothing but a phone for tech support, a manual, and the internet. I had to do a lot of signs for a hospital scene for Russell Crowes movie...
Just have problems with emulsion. Some areas it is too thin and doesn't work right. I need to get a scoop or troth. My work just had some extra. Decided I would give it a try.
I saw this stuff called Ulano Plasti-Cut Sta-Sharp. It is for making stencils. I was wondering how you adhere it to a mesh screen? What chemicals do you need and what is the procedure? Any info would be awesome. Thanks.
Looking to purchase a plotter. Probably around 30" in. I wouldn't mind getting a used one. Not too sure about brands. I'm kind of fond to Gerber, just cause I have experience with them. The main qualities I'm looking for is Accuracy, Able to do Intricate shapes, Friction not Sprocket, and...
