  3. What vinyl and laminate to wrap a pickup constantly scratched by thorns

I use general formulations Motomark 238-12 armor laminate for a heavy duty laminate. Pair it with your vinyl of choice (I use 180-cv3). It is rugged. Downsides... it won't take to well to complex curves and it is glossy (most camo jobs are matte). I would wrap the "wear" areas (sides and...
  4. Averege $/hr for wrapper in the US

$52k is not unheard of for a skilled guy in New England. A company employee's salary will depend on what value they add to your shop. Such as being a lead installer, having a certification, skill and speed, being able to help out with printing and laminating... I guess it depends on your...
  5. Reflective Vinyl

Echoing Pro Wraps here. I use 680cr for all of my reflective jobs it has air egress so it will go down much smoother. It is also easier to put down for an overlay or for outlining. The attached photo has 680cr over all of the neon (on the truck and snail). Mark
  6. Equipment needed to print on beer bottle caps

I would think the caps need to be kept sterile until being placed on the bottle. Taking them and putting them through a print cycle may very well contaminate them. The more exposed the more likely... Printing on clear with a white ink might be a safer option here. The decals can be pre-cut on...

  10. Hp 26500 vertical banding

I had a similar issue with my 26500 when it was new. The problem turned out to be a defective encoder strip. I had stripes (vertical bands) running full length through my prints. It's a good reason to have a service contract although my fix was covered under warranty.
  11. Need large 3d Tooth made. GTA, Ontario.

I am not a merchant member here so my apologies to Fred if I am out of line. We do 3d sculpting here at Turtle Transit. There are a few examples on our site (google our name). A tooth would be an easy project. What is your timeline? Mark
  12. White Printer Vinyl Not Sticking to Aluminum Substrate

We do quite a bit of aluminum fabrication. The fabrication guys use WD40 when they cut. They then clean the aluminum with thinner and when it comes to me I clean it with denatured alcohol.
  13. HP 25500 makes horrible noise

Make sure the rails that the printhead travels on are clean and oiled (some people miss the fact there is a top rail too). Sometimes the encoder strip gets ink on it and can disrupt printhead travel. This will also cause a loud banging noise or even a head crash.
  14. Scratching on prints for L26500

:goodpost: Andrew is right on here. Remember, the more seams the more chances for a failure. One piece is best. I seal the edges on my wraps too using 1/4" wide strips of 8519 lam.
