  7. Question Ink plotter pens for my D-75 cutter

The Details: I finally used up the last of my felt tipped plotter pens. It actually dried out rather than emptied out. Airmark wants over $100 for a set of 4 after you add in shipping. I think that's crazy. I found the same set of 4 for $50, but for how often I use one, 3 would dry out before...
  8. Is the Signs 365 website down?

Trying to order some prints, and all I get at signs365.com is a blank white page. Windows 10, MS Edge browser, which was just updated today. Is it just me? Chris
  9. Question Wet application of 3M 180-mc. OK, or bad idea?

It'd be super handy to be able to do a wet application of a green color over white in order to get the spacing correct for a white outline. I've used 180-mc, but never wet. Am I asking for trouble, or will it work as well as using 3M/Gerber 220? Thanks! Chris
  10. Can't quite get this one

Even with my paid font app, I can't get as close as I want to. Any ideas?
  11. Any ideas on this one?

Anybody know of a font pretty close to this? I believe it's a handheld router jig sign-making font. I'd like to match it with a computerized font rather than draw it by hand.
  12. Anybody recognize this one?

Anybody recognize this font? I had it in 2007, but somehow lost it between then & now. It's similar to Playbill & Branding Iron, but not close enough. Thanks! Chris
  13. I need some help locating steel sign blanks

Does anybody here have a source for 0.040" to 0.063' thick steel sign blanks? I need 4-6 of them at 18" x 24". They have to be steel, they have to be at least .040" thick, but could be up to .063" or so. Radiused corners would be great. A factory applied white finish would be helpful, but I...
  14. Looking for waterborne, non-latex, exterior grade, glossy paints

I use exterior latex paints when I can for outdoor signage that require paint. They work better than any other paint I've found, but won't work when vinyl film needs to be used on a painted sign. Oil based sign paints are messy to clean up, and they chalk way too soon. I've used Ronan's...
  15. Welcome or Welcomes???

I've thought about this long enough that my brain locked up on it. "E.P. & RMNP Welcome John Doe" or "E.P. & RMNP Welcomes John Doe" "Welcome" (not plural) seemed correct until I started thinking about it, but since trying to make sure it was, I'm stuck. :banghead: Any suggestions for...
  16. Funky Forum Issue

When trying to type into the message boxes here in these forms, I often lose some of the letters. So, I'm typing away, and look up at what I've just typed, and letters are missing from words. It's like my keyboard is not working correctly, but it happens only on this forum. isis a test, tis is...
  17. New Vinyl cutter suggestions request

My 20 year old 40" Vytek Gem vinyl cutter is finally giving up the ghost. 20 years of good cutting is a lot so I'm not too disappointed. I'm a small one-guy shop, so I don't need a high end, super fast cutter. I'd need to cut 15", 24", 30" material. I do some sandblasted wood signs on...
  18. Font ID Please

I just can't think of the name of this font. Does anybody here know it? Thanks! Chris
  19. Preliminary education & search for a printer

I'm thinking about adding a wide format printer to my shop. I know very little about printing on vinyl. I do mostly wood and cut vinyl signage, and if I really need a print, I farm it out. I'd use prints more if I had a little printer, though. What I (think) I know is this: A maximum width of...
