John made a good point. Can you get a nozzle check to print? Are there any other internal test jobs that can be printed as well? Start working on all alignments and confirm that machine is sound and then work on the rip side of things.

Artbot might be right with ink temperature for that head. With white ink having a thicker viscocity, correct temp is critical or head won't fire correctly. Also, have tech check for a slight vacuum leak with white channel.

Issue could also be profile related, media related and/or bi-directional alignments out along with artbot's lamp suggestion. This is common to UV printers, but also can be easily resolved.

Make sure pad is draining drawing ink correctly and there is a good seal around head. Otherwise, cap might be drying up. You can put the machine in sleep mode where it will wake up and do a clean when you're away. This stops the head and cap from drying.

Print the ship print under tools & utilities tab. Compare to the one that was shipped with the machine. This takes the profiles/rip out of the equation. If nozzles are firing fine, then it could be bi-directional alignments. Depends on the type of banding you're getting. Lawn mower effect...

If you don't care about white or metallic, then why don't you consider the S50? Same 2 head machine without the metallic and you can decide prior to install if you want the white or not.

I would take it off the network and print via crossover cable. The printer is what pays the bills. No need to jeopardize it. That's my 2 cents.

I know someone running the 50600. They are not running with white ink, therefore, a replacement cartridge takes the place of the white slot. This has to be decided during the initial setup. I am assuming the same would apply with the 70600 series.
