We have ink in the damper lines and replaced the head and dampers this morning. We can still not draw ink from behind the printer. Any suggestions?

now I did data swap and damper swap . everything works on switched head. still can't get yellow head to let ink draw through cap. Help!

can running out of ink destroy a head?

the lines to the damper are full, new dampers are full, and capping is fairly new, the line below cap is clear, I can flush ink/fluild through the top of the head, but still can't pull ink through the head from below the cap. The yellow head did print what ink I forced in and then faded out...

Been there and done that! Any other suggestions?

We ran across an issue yesterday where we ran out of yellow on JV3 160SP. We replaced the yellow cartridge and now it is not firing properly. We tried to prime the yellow head with syringe below capping station and cant get any ink to pull through the head.

There in all the way. one thing that is strange is the media is straight but the print itself is crooked its shifting almost 1" every 2' then when it reaches a certain point it stops laying ink but continues to travel back and forth but no print.

10' run stopped printing 2' from end of job, but the machine was still going through the motions of printing. stopped, ran test draw, ok, re ripped file and it did the same thing 2' in ...kept running but wasn't printing. no codes..ehh?

ok i pressed the wrong button in the maintenance screen. the screen said [SS2<>SSCHG] and i cant back out of it. it tells me to remove the ink cartridges i dont want to switch my ink im currently running SS2 ink. can any one tell me how i can back out of this mode or start over. i also let the...

motherboard and slider board all tested good it was a bad magenta head

ok im sending off my motherboard and slider board to mac media to get tested ($299 if both need to be repaired) and ordering a new head for $775 also new cables. i will post when i here back from mac media on what was the problem.

i pulled one of the data cables off of the magenta head and it has a burnt end on one side like it arced out.... lets say that is what happened what damage can that do to the printer

so do i need to get a new head or is there another solution to this prob

i replaced the dampers on the magenta head, primed the head and i went to turn on the machine and the green light flickers once and nothing else happens. it wont boot up or anything help what can i do
