  1. 3m etched vinyl won't pick up with transfer tape

Lolololol This does work for any brand I’ve used, just don’t swipe it back and forth or the crystal “dust” gets moved around. Good luck!!
  2. 3m etched vinyl won't pick up with transfer tape

After cutting but before weeding we always use a clean paper towel with 91% alcohol for a light wipe down. It removes the crystal “dust” from the cut line edges. Then any grade of high tack premask has held fine. Make sure the materials are up to room temp (above 70f), during cutting and...
  3. Happy Thanksgiving - plans?

Double bacon wrapped turkey breast. I bring some food and “refreshments”, my daughter has more food and her own supply of “refreshments”! She cooks, we drink, tell stories and I play with my Grand”doger” and 3 Grand”cats”! Ditto for Xmas too! Nice to have the time now that I’m semi- retired...

  5. Need Help Anyone Know This Font?

Another shoutout to AndersHerp for nailing this font. Much appreciated!! Also a shoutout to Eric - The Vector Doctor for a fantastic and speedy clean up of the original design from that horrible picture. If anyone is still out there that hasn’t used his services, don’t bother going ANYWHERE...

Hey Eric! It’s Al, The Lettering Guy (TLG). I have a customer that wants me to re-make a design that her late daughter did for her. All I have is this pic she sent. Have a look and let me know $$ if you can clean up for a vector file. Am using Gerber Advantage 6.0 (I know, prehistoric) lolol...
  11. Thermal Print Supplier?

Morning everyone! Been forever since I've been to the site. Am in need of #4 digital prints to fit 18" x 24" coro. Had used a supplier that made thermal prints on the last job (3 yrs ago) and customer likes how they've held up. Anyone able to run a few of these for me? *Customer's designer has...
  12. Rollback Truck Image?

Hey Brian, Thanks for the link. Pretty similar, but I need a vector image, not too much detail. Gotta cut it, not print.
  13. Rollback Truck Image?

Yeah, pretty much it's a medium duty truck cab up front (This one's a 2007 Chevy C5500 quadcab) and the bed is flat. They just tilt the bed down, hookup the cable, drag the vehicle up on the bed, tilt it flat down and leave!
  14. Rollback Truck Image?

Happy New Years everyone! Glad 08 is behind us and 09 is a great year for all. Am wondering if anyone knows where I can buy a vectored image of a newer rollback truck? Side image is OK, front corner view is better. Checked in Fred's collection, but not there. Any help is appreciated...
  15. Can't re-install Graphix Advantage V6.21

Contact Tony Teveris, a member here and Gerber employee. He's been very helpful with some of my GA 6.0 problems. Good luck
  16. Cutting Substrates

Yes, only up/down cuts. I think mine handles up to 52" tall so anything longer requires a straight edge/knife.
  17. Cutting Substrates

I've had both an Exacto Elite & now a Fletcher 3100 (same thing). Loved them both and are a great addidtion to the shop and worth the $$ to me. Works well for alum, coro, pvc, acrylic, poly. Just change cutter heads for the substrate type. I can shave as little as 1/16" off most things and if...
  18. is my blade shot?

Did this happen with a roll of material you hadn't cut before? I've noticed a similar problem sometimes. Wasn't the blade as much as inconsistencies in the material. Bob also has a point. Can't keep the plotter too clean & lubed. Good luck.
  19. RM Longhorn logo

My family tree traced me being related to him 4 generations back, this was enough for them to grant me permission to get the longhorn tattooed across my shoulders. Now that's something I'd like to see a pix of! How about posting it? :>)
