  1. Probably custom font, need to match numbers to text

Thank you! The numbers on the font I used was way off! Now I can make a better suggestion for the customer :thumb:
  2. Probably custom font, need to match numbers to text

I have a customer that wants numbers in the same style as the lettering used on his new boat, and the font used is probably (?) custom. So far my best attempt is SF Automaton that has been thickened up a bit, as seen under the text for reference. But this font might not be custom at all...
  3. Onyx Thrive - setup for white ink on black substrate.

Thank you both, this will be very helpful to explore next time I'm at the workstation :) I'm much more comfortable in illustrator, so anything I can set up there would be easier, but also I want to learn to understand the possibilities in Thrive. So I will try both ways. For now, I've only...
  4. Onyx Thrive - setup for white ink on black substrate.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with a solution for my inquiry. I was wondering if there is any way to set up a file in the rip so that it prints the "opposite" (I know that is the wrong term here, but English being my second language I can't always find the words) than it would...
  5. How to put a value on a business?

Not the easiest question to answer, I know. But here is my situation. I run a small sign/graphics business. About 10 years old, yearly turnaround is about $100k or so. One-man shop, I do everything myself (have a degree in graphic design), from design to production and install. At least as far...
  6. Font ID; probably too easy - just not for me..

Customer ordered 2pcs 1x2m signs, but they only had a 700px wide psd file on hand, was hoping to make a vector file myself and just knock them out tonight. Instead of waiting for a vector file from the main office tomorrow. But I'm stuck on the lower text line..
  7. Simple Font Id (stumped Myself)

This should be a breeze for anyone not totally stressed out (like me atm). I'm drawing a blank though, even if it's most likely a standard windows font :p
  8. How do you handle clients ideas vs logo design?

Oh yes. Where I used to work before starting on my own, we had a customer that imported diggers/excavators from China, and put their own branding on them. They modified them first with their own hydralic system that they had some kind of patent on. Anyway, the daugther of the owner was attending...
  9. Script font ID

No help from whatthefont on this one unfortunately.. Will human skills win over the computer this time?
  10. Font id? What the font couldn't nail it.

    Thank you!! :D
  11. Font id? What the font couldn't nail it.

It's not quite Palatino or Raleigh, but pretty close. I guess the "4" is the most characteristic symbol here?
  12. Logo for a multi purpose business

I had that direction in my mind yesterday, good stuff! Will work on this.
  13. Logo for a multi purpose business

Still open to suggestions :) Remember that the company's name is misleading to what they actually do, and what they do should be apparent from the logo. Not the most favourable project in that matter.
  14. Logo for a multi purpose business

Took your advice into concideration and followed the original direction. Made a more detailed pictogram for the excavator and played around with fonts in the same classification. Found a "friendlier" one that is just as readable. I appreciate the feedback from all of you guys, must not forget...
  15. Logo for a multi purpose business

Yes they do.. but their logo no longer needs to represent their products in any way, these are all brand that were commonly known before most of us were born.. If you say McDonalds now, everyone knows what they do (by reputation, not by branding).. but when they started out from nothing, even...
  16. Logo for a multi purpose business

It's more of a concept at this stage, all the elements are there but colours and typography are just suggestions so far. It just looked so bland in black/gray. I'm working on a better pictogram for the machine (rental) now. Carpentry is the main focus (at this point in time) but I suggested...
  17. Logo for a multi purpose business

I should have put up a disclaimer! :D
  18. Logo for a multi purpose business

Woah! Colours did not export well! Let's try again:
  19. Logo for a multi purpose business

Hey all I'm working with a customer now who wants a logo for his company. The company name doesn't say much to towards their lines of work, so I've suggested incorporating some pictograms into the logo to shed some light on the different tasks they perform. Main thing is carpentry/house...
  20. Looks kinda like SF Automaton but isn't

I think you nailed it :) Although they must have used a different font in "Bygg", the g is squared inside and the y looks completely different. But I'll just trace them. :thankyou:
