  1. New cjv30-60

Thanks for the advise... I don't mind trying things till I figure it out myself. Just thought maybe I could save some time and money by coming here... you never know :) Laz, yes Rasterlink 5 Pro. I use SS21 solvent ink. I had read that eco solvent ink takes more time to dry than solvent, which...
  2. New cjv30-60

Believe me I completely understand and agree with this! And of course I appreciate your time on this topic! It's just that there is literally only 1 mimaki tech in my country. This is a fact, all mimaki owners here know it and hate it. The guy is a great guy, but he's not a really a mimaki tech...
  3. New cjv30-60

Hello everyone and Happy 2014! I just got my new CJV30-60 and I love it. I do need to tweak it a bit though to get the best out of it. The print quality is acceptable, but not as good as I it can be. For example my light color solid fills are printed with a bit of a noise. Firstly, I tried...
  4. replacing printers

Hello, I'd appreciate any experienced thoughts about this. I currently have a Mimaki JV33-160 and a Mimaki CG-130fx II. The thing is that as of a year ago I've completely stopped anything that has to do with local market, and I make stuff to sell online. I sell on eBay and Etsy and my...
  5. JV33 pump/damper problem?

haven't tried it yet... but just to add a note.. it seems to be really hard to pull ink from under the capping station now. I keep pulling and pulling and it never pulls ink... like there's an air leak somewhere. but I'm trying to keep everything tightly sealed. Valves are open, dampers are...
  6. JV33 pump/damper problem?

yes I did. I have one empty Cyan cartridge and one full. I replaced them, but after spending many hours trying to get it to work, it still didn't. I'm now going to try your suggestion about swapping the lines going to the dampers.
  7. JV33 pump/damper problem?

I did have my valves open.. all of them. I'm very frustrated... I've been working on this issue for days now, and still no result. I'm pretty sure there's another issue, probably something very small, but I just can't get my eye and mind to spot it. Check this photo to see what's going on...
  8. JV33 pump/damper problem?

Hello, I'm actually still trying to figure out what the problem is... Here's the story... I've been printing daily without problems, when I recently got one of the Magenta printing only half its nozzles. I did a hard cleaning and still no change, so I did a nozzle wash for 15 minutes. After...
  9. Print on JV33 became a bit blurry

Hello, My prints on Mimaki JV33 suddenly became a bit blurry. I print vector files through EPS format. Never had this issue.. all lines were perfectly straight and colors were solid, but now it's like the ink spreads a bit as it hits the vinyl.. making it look blurry. Here's a preview of what...
  10. dumper problem?

I didn't do any sort of adjustment.. simply replaced it with a new one
  11. dumper problem?

SightLine's guess was right. I replaced the cap top of the capping station.. then I sucked ink with pressed valves through each damper. Did a fill up ink, then a nozzle wash for 5 minutes. Run a hard cleaning and did my test print. everything was 100% :)
  12. dumper problem?

if that's the case I assume the capping station doesn't not get fixed, but replaced, right? any idea how much this would cost?
  13. dumper problem?

hello, I went to print on my JV33 today and noticed that my magenta values are too soft. I did a test print and noticed that one of the magenta sets was missing completely. I opened up the box and pushed Solvent down the print head and made sure that it goes smooth. Then I saw my dumper...
  14. Buying a UPS for my printer

Thanks for the info, jayhawksigns how long have you had the UPS till it needed battery replacement? rjssigns I would always do that too, since electricity is pretty unstable here.. power gets cut off in the whole area as soon as some lightnings start striking down. Unfortunately it was 2-3...
  15. Buying a UPS for my printer

A power surge damaged my pc's USB ports and JV33's USB port. I got everything replaced, but the printer's main-board must have been damaged a bit further than just the USB port. So I ended up having to buy a new main-board for my JV33, not a cheap item. Now I'm looking to see how I can avoid...
  16. Print History

    anyone?
  17. Print History

Hello, I would like to know how I can find out how many square meters (or however it tells you) my JV33-160 has printed since the day it was build... is there a function in the menu to give you that sort of information?
  18. Mimaki JV-33 USB port probably damaged.

Turns out the USB port is indeed on the mainboard and not a separate part. I found this It says it's the original part with Mimaki warranty. Price is nearly half the price my technician says. So can anyone verify please? How can I be sure it's an original part? Oh and another thing... since...
  19. Mimaki JV-33 USB port probably damaged.

My technician says that he doesn't know weather if the USB port on the JV-33 is a separate part or if it belongs on the mainboard. He says if it is attached to the mainboard I will need to replace the whole mainboard and it will cost me 1700 euro. If it is not attached to the mainboard it will...
  20. Mimaki JV-33 USB port probably damaged.

Hello, I posted this on Computer Hardware forum at first thinking I it was a computer hardware issue, but it turns out it is also a printer issue as well. To cut the long story short, I had a power surge which damaged my computer's USB ports, but it turns out it may have also damaged my...
