I have been using a synthetic Gun oil for the Carriage rail has worked out really good, doesn't gum up or dry out.
Go down to your local Gun shop and buy their best synthetic gun oil, it will be rated for higher temps than the L26500 will produce.

I thinking of a new convertiable flatbed the HP Scitex FB500 seems to have the features I want, but would like to know of any problem any users have had with this machine. As with any product the sales staff think there printers are the best so I am hoping for some real world insite. :thankyou:
Before you jump into a purchase you should question ? What software do you use and are you going to upgrade it.
As well are you planning to use the new computer to design as well as run your printers , cutters etc.... many things to consider.

Thanks for the input, They won't let me put any screws or fastners into the building but I did convince the customer to go with window decals instead of a banner will look way nicer. So problem solved but not really.

I got the 100 inch Javlin model it retails between $500.- $800 us it is sold by many suppliers. Cuts lazer straight if you have a lot of triming it's the only way to go
I agree the glass top table is a great surface to work on but I just purchased a new JavlinCutter and man It's the Cat's Meow. I don't know how I cut long banners with out it.
I have done this method several time and it works quite well, I also use the multi pass settings to increase the color intesity. With a little practice you can can get great results

I took apart the card reader on my 1608 and bent the pins a bit so they would contact the card better re-installed reader and put card back in restarted printer and it read fine. It was a contact problem between the card and reader. It may be worth a try for your system I'm not sure if they have...
The LG print vinyl is always a problem to weed it won't release off the liner like most substrates eg.. Oracal and Mactac. I will not use LG if I need to plotter cut it is just a pain in the ......
