  1. HP370 printing dimensions differ on left & right sides?

Perhaps it is not pulling evenly on the take up. I will check with our printer operator. This is like bowing, except it's bowed on one side, and not the other (vs bowing down the middle of the material)
  2. HP370 printing dimensions differ on left & right sides?

Hey gang, been a while since I've been on. We printed a bunch of 4x8 panels recently, and wound up with alignment issues across panels. Eventually discovered that the lengths of each print were up to 3/16" different from one side to the other (over the 96.5" length). It appears to be...
  3. Copy right or trademark logos illegal

LOL I wonder who's nephew jacked that... Moreover, I wonder what assistant will PAY for it.
  4. Copy right or trademark logos illegal

Clearly some people haven't had their work copied, or they wouldn't be doing it themselves. We once had a guy come in for an interview. He showed his portfolio, which showcased a trailer I designed, and we produced/installed the decals. Foot... meet mouth.
  5. how long do you guarantee your wraps????

All well and good on a spankin brand new cargo van straight off the lot... A whole 'nother matter when you look at some of the box trucks and vans that have been in service for some time... They usually want a wrap because it's cheaper than new paint... so theres that too.

Stupid question... Whats with PVO? Didn't it used to be Digital Auto Library? Did Christian sell it or something?
  8. Decent price on l25500?

Thanks... I did not realize they changed inksets on the new model. Not worth the frustration imo. We'd likely want to print panels for a single wrap in half the time using both machines... I sort of figured this would be the case before asking, but it confirms my fears, that a used 25500 would...
  9. Decent price on l25500?

Anyone running both a 25500 and the new 26500 side by side? notice any differences? Boss mentioned possibly getting a 2nd printer (we have the 25500 currently). It'd be an issue if we couldn't run different panels for a given wrap on either machine (and have everything match up). We're running...
  10. Thoughts on purchasing sign shop w/ older Gerber equipment

We still run our edge on a win 98 machine. It doesn't have to be blazing fast if it functions as a sort of 'rip' machine specifically for the edge & plotters... Both the dongle and edge require parallel ports (Bi-Directional I believe?). The plotter likely a serial port. Something to watch for...
  11. Bad Logo Help

No worries & sorry... Your post immediately followed mine, and I thought you were referring to my quick fix... :covereyes:I knew it wasn't great and all. I thought about shading, reshaping, spending too much time looking for a decent font, etc... then I realized 'I'm not getting paid to...
  12. Bad Logo Help

You know the type... I'm guessing shes very specific on that type of tree/leaf being portrayed for whatever reason, when it's likely that most customers will identify it as a pot leaf when it's green in color. Which is why I changed the leaves in the 'quickfix' As for my 'quickfix'... hands are...
  13. Bad Logo Help

obviously it needs some playing with... but heres an idea to encapsulate the hands to allow for putting on different colors
  14. HP L25500 & Onyx x10 problems

The Onyx update fixed this issue a while back... for the most part, this thing is running and making profit... Ran into a small issue with a whole lot of bangin going on during warm-up... Turned out to be the pads on either side of the printhead carriage were all gunked up with ink... Removed...
  15. Raster Link Pro on XP - pw for Mistral??

Any luck yet? I just remembered this thread and went through my notes on fresh install of rasterlink pro. It appears as though we used the windows xp administrator password... 3) Rasterlink Pro Remove all USB Keys/Dongles Insure Microsoft IIS was installed from Windows CD. (Needs ftp and web...
  16. HELP!! Reflective

Man we just print a bunch of crop marks every once in a while (in waste space/unsused space during jobs). Then cut em up and store for 'sticking' on top of chrome, reflective, etc. Although we'd probably not have crop marks large enough for a 10' run, so we'd probably hand draw some.
  17. Error 20 I/F Board 01

Our printer and cutter are connected to the same machine. Our cutter tends to build up static, and we've noticed that whenever we get a discharge on the cutter (ie a static pop) it can affect the printer. I don't recall the specific error #, but the jv3 will just quit/lock. We were fearing the...
