  1. Any Success with web-to-print??

Hi Ryan, Can't provide the answer you're looking for but sounds like you're in the same boat as us. We've done a beta using Wordpress with some plug ins and even a Shopify with basic upload, but nothing worthy of getting into the customer's hands. While some like Aleyant/Pressero seem...
  2. Need Help HP L25500 printing on fabric

Hi Deny, If I had a profile for that media I'd gladly share it with you but that's a really wide open question with many facets and an answer that only comes after a lot of time and experience on what is now an older machine. We've still got three L25500s (8 years old by now) and can tell you...
  3. Need Help HP L25500 printing on fabric

Hey Dallas, Do you have a reference somewhere for that from HP? I don't doubt it will happen, just wasn't aware of the date. Thanks
  4. Need Help l25500 Printing Blurry on some passes

+1 to what 2CT says...and glad cleaning of the vac holes has helped...that makes sense. Good luck with it all.
  5. Need Help l25500 Printing Blurry on some passes

Oh and yeah, you want to run a printhead alignment after anytime you've had a head strike / jam for sure.
  6. Need Help l25500 Printing Blurry on some passes

I've been running L25500s x3 the last 6 years and yeah, they can be tough. To what the guys above have been saying, your media or carriage likely aren't travelling properly. A few things stick out: -your drying temp can't be 200...it only goes up to 131F -have you done a carriage rail clean and...
  7. L26500 Waves

Agreed, don't shoot the messenger....next time he might not share his know how. He is 100% correct and just saved you a crap load of time and money. The average vendor certainly isn't going to be so forthcoming.
  8. HP L26500 banding in black

We've had the same, there are indeed a lot of bad cyan heads being supplied. All you can do is keep a spare or two and return them under warranty.
  9. Pantone Swatch Books - Which One?!

Bridge coated - 99% of the time As many have already said, Bridge Coated is a good all purpose one. I have a complete set and 99% of the time am just using the bridge coated. The only time I use uncoated is for one customer who needs a dead matte poster stock and when we are outsourcing small...
  10. 4Over

+1 on Sinalite if (and only if) you know your job is suitable for gang runs. Have done about 10 jobs there and will continue to do so. Even though they do compete in the large format space, they don't have that same scorched earth strategy that 4over does so I feel comfortable on that front.
  11. 4Over

Interesting to hear a positive about 4over Canada. I've heard they've had a rougher go than they had hoped and the cross border shipping that was supposed to be temporary while they ramped up will continue until they get their volume. More interesting though is that there is no mention of...
  12. SailRite sewing machines?

That double needle concept is wicked, just saw a couple of vids. Will be trying that for sure. Thanks for that WildWest. Of and re: the Sailrite and power...it will go cleanly through near anything....the key is that walking foot that advances the banner material (no matter what machine you are...
  13. SailRite sewing machines?

We have the Sailrite here. If you've watched the Sailrite videos on their site, it really does live up to the claims. Yes, takes some skill to get a nice straight line, and will take more time than a double needle JUKI, but for the dollar it is a tank and should last a lifetime. No marring or...
  14. Hp Latex compared to Roland versaart re 640

You're doing a lot better than me then on banner. What's your preferred PVC banner?
  15. Hp Latex compared to Roland versaart re 640

The HP Latex is not the printer for high quality retractable banners. One of the hardest things for these things is printing on PVC vinyl banner because the heat in the curing zone will deform a lot of banner media. Smooth or ultra smooth banner vinyl is a no go. Take that another step and if...
  16. WARNING about the possible dangers of chicken jerky pet treats from China

Here in Canada, an investigative program called 'Marketplace' just did a report on these exact same Chicken Jerky treats, same Waggin' Train brand and others. They sent samples of a number of different brands off to 2 separate labs, and one of the labs found an 'unknown chemical' in the samples...
  17. L25500 Vertical Banding lately?

    Thanks.
  18. L25500 Vertical Banding lately?

Anyone out there experiencing vertical banding on their L25500s lately (we are obviously)? And I mean newly experiencing it where you never had a problem before, maybe since doing the latest firmware update. It's the 21mm bands that they introduced the vertical correction feature for in...
  19. Sign installer in Toronto ?

I'm looking for someone who can install two 8'x4' sign comp aluminum frames and sign faces. Side of industrial brick building, 20-30ft off the ground. Very straight forward, the height is the factor for myself / the customer. Feel free to shout it out or PM me directly. Thanks.
  20. LF Ontario HP Dealer

+1 on Access Imaging, a big no for Ernest Green I stumbled across Access Imaging when my 'relationship' with Ernest Green & Son went sour (that was where I bought my L25500 but we'll leave that one for another day). I've only purchased media and consumables from them, but they are a smaller...
