  1. Need Help Roland Pro ii is there a way to print CMYK NOT LcLm?

Thanks so much for your reply! You said there is a CMYK option available, is it a profile? Because I don't see any option, but I'll look again, thanks for the help!!!
  2. Need Help Roland Pro ii is there a way to print CMYK NOT LcLm?

My LcLm heads are not firing at all, I think it's a fuse issue, but they don't make the fuses for the Pro ii anymore. I'll probably take the board out and see if I can bypass it, but for now I'm wondering if anyone knows a way to print CMYK without the LcLm. As it is, it really messes up most...
  3. Need Help Vehicle wraps and advertising in Cancun Mexico

I'm looking for contacts in Cancun area in Mexico. Ideally I'm interested in working with an advertising/vehicle wrap company. Our company has hundreds of cars that could be used for advertising opportunities. We recently lost our local contact in Mexico, and when I've been there mostly I've met...
  4. Vehicle graphics for HOT weather application

Hello, I'm going to be applying many vehicle wraps in Mexico. I used 3M Control Tac V3, which is my favorite, however, because it was in the heat, the adhesive became very tacky, it was as if I was using any vinyl. Also, it's hard to be competitive there as they use very very cheap vinyls. I'm...
  5. YOUR opinion: Best printer for vehicle wraps.

This is excellent advice. I've always been able to service my Roland myself (changed a pump, a print head, the encoder strip etc.). This is something to take into consideration.
  6. YOUR opinion: Best printer for vehicle wraps.

A few interesting votes for latex, with which I have no experience. When they were fairly new I was inquiring and the clincher came down to when the salesman said to expect to change the print heads 2-3 times per year, but don't worry they are only a few hundred dollars each as opposed to the...
  7. YOUR opinion: Best printer for vehicle wraps.

I'm setting up a new shop in Mexico for a friend/business associate who is looking for a large format printer. I currently own (in Canada) a Roland Pro II 545 but I have also used a Mutoh and an Epson - all three Eco-Solvent inks (or some variant). It has been years since I bought a new printer...
  8. Any experience with CANVAS?

After much more experimentation I must recall my critique of Nechen's Monet Canvas. It appears to be superior to intellicoat's Magic brand when compared side by side. Amplis' "Urth" canvas is fantastic, but you do pay more for it, and it has less texture than Monet. FYI - Do not use Roland's...
  9. Any experience with CANVAS?

Hey TH - thanks for posting! Sorry - I'm just a little confused - is Amplis Breathing Color and Urth Pure G - are they two different canvases? What supplier are you using? I'm in BC but shipping from Alberta isn't bad. Are these both satin? I have a slight preference for Matte. **Sorry for my...
  10. Any experience with CANVAS?

Hello all, it's been over a year since there has been a post on this topic, hopefully others are still interested, as I am in this topic. I've been looking for a good canvas for many years. I'm printing with a Roland, and despite the nay-sayers, I have found the results as good or better...
